It's not hard. The only reason I'm not 30 (halfway through 28 myself) is because my arms, chest and boots and all purple Vanguard gear. I have 2-3 upgrades on each one to do (they're unlocked, I just haven't opened them) but don't want to waste the Ascendant material on that kind of gear.

Pretty sure you're going to need Raid gear to reach level 30. I have all my Legendary gear maxed out and I'm only at 29.

Do bounties to rank up faster since you only get 25 reputation per win and 10 rep per loss. Bounties will give you an additional 50/100 for completing those on top of the win/loss reputation. You can view your progress when you go to the Crucible Quartermaster and hover over the circle on the left of the screen.

Yup. You will need all 4 raid gear or 3 raid gear and 1 exotic to hit 30. Basically, the raid gear is legendary, but levels up like exotic so you can have more than one.

Just solo'd the Nightfall. Yes, the Summoning Pits. Feeling like a lowkey hero. Plan C is a lifesaver. Took me three tries and 25mins on the last one, but Plan C came through for everything. Even took out Phogoth. Never even touched an IceBreaker.



Got Pocket Infinity out of it. Well, completed the final stage of the bounty for it, rather.

I did, but I felt like I played it bad. Died too many times. Not my style. Probably was just tired after the raid. I felt I could solo it and I did. that and I wanted to finish the Pocket Infinity bounty.

Had a surprisingly good time doing the raid on Hard w/ Biz, Bailey, Jafo, Joe, and Andy. Biz didn't yell at anyone at all! His reputation preceded him.

Anyway, I'm always down for raids. It's all I have left to do. Sitting on 50 shards, got all my favorite weapons maxed out at 300, all my current L29 armor set is maxed out, Im just putting exp into random legendary weapons and armor for more shards/energy.

I really should just focus on my second guy.

Oh, and I'm loving Atheons Epilogue. That's going to be my main in the raid once I level it up.

Raids are too damn hard for me to even try. I won't even touch the mp part. Since i refuse to play that.

Really? Between the 3 pieces (which are all purple) I have probably 8 upgrades to do. I'm 1/4 into 28. That really wouldn't be enough?

I was so down on Destiny that I almost put it away. Another miserable hardly considered attempt at Hard mode in VOG. One of six guys was out of town, one other had a date, I guess (I'll get back to that). So I invite one guy from the forum I had finished a raid with before, and we ended up with one random SOB 15 year old who did not sound fifteen but sounded high who did not consider that he was in mixed company and started dropping N-bombs, if you know what I mean. He seemed to think he was some kind of North Dakota "gansta." I was mortified to tell you the truth, and really could not focus after that. I'm done inviting forum people to non-forum teams without disclaimers. I keep getting embarrassed.

Irrespective, I had one more prearranged appointment with the VOG before the end of the weekend and ended up getting two pieces of armor for the Titan, so I guess I can not quit, after taking 9 events to get two pieces for the Warlock.

If you want to properly commit yourselves, in more ways than one, just marry the girl already. This dating crap just gets in the way of your responsibilities to the fireteam.

It will get you to about 29.2. One raid piece about 29.5. Two about 29.75. That's with one exotic.

Of course. I ran out of the room to Plan C all the adds, fire two rockets into Egg Pho Goth, ran back. Rinse and repeat, killing any wizards and knights w/ Plan C who got too close. When I ran out of rockets I just Plan Cd Phog to death. Hell of a gun, that one. Two charges to kill yellow shielded Knights, three charges for yellow shielded wizards, with arc burn. One for regular knights and two for regular wizards.

Hey bud, how can you even say that if you've never tried it? They're a blast with the right people. Come try one with me sometime, I'll guide ya through it. If you can follow directions, I guarantee you'll enjoy it! It's so completely different than the rest of the game. As for multiplayer, grab your best autorifle and shotgun and have a ball! Don't refuse to try anything. It's just a game!

Yep. Four non-raid gear Legendary armor pieces will only get you to Light level 28 (98 total light points - since legendaries max out at 27 light points per piece ) - to get to 29 you need one exotic or one piece of raid gear to hit 109 light points, since exotic and raid armor maxes out at 30 light points per piece. To hit L30 is 120 light points so you need three pieces of raid gear and an exotic or a full four piece raid set.

Not sure if it's MP in general or just with this game, but your're really doing yourself a disservice IMO. I find the game very boring to play alone, but have a great time with friends doing strikes, missions, and raids.

I'm by no means a fan of MP but in Destiny's case it really makes the game better.

JJ, our weekly Saturday raid is full. I want to get Jr into a Raid this week. If you want to lead a few guys through it like Grim; Jr and I can run with yall.

Casual . You punched me off the ledge after the jumping puzzle. I was thinking "you sob". I didn't realize it would respawn me back in the lower place.

I have ran into some rather unsavory people as well. I hit up the lfgdestiny thing the other night and ended up with some 11 year olds that fought with each other the whole time, lol. Nearly all groups I have been in have someone who feels the need to yell out the F word a hundred times, I guess I am old fashioned because I wouldn't talk that way around strangers.....

All that being said, I have met a couple cool people on there too and have a few go to guys to play with that are there for the love of the game and we can all have fun, which is what it is all about.....right?

SO, I tried the second half of hard mode with four 29's and 2 28's last night, after a little more than an hour we gave up, those level 30 hobgoblins don't play! I need to get my hands on some better weapons and some raid gauntlets before going back that I think.
