52 and I never really cared for the Nightmare films at all. I mean, yeah, Robert Englund is awesome, but the movies never did anything at all for me.

That makes it even more bizarre that it's your favourite. Altho having said that i suppose from the fact it did come out after the freddy films were kinda done and over with, then it can be viewed as a seperate stand alone film. (altho i would of thought having some history of the characters would help to tho)

The original and New Nightmare make for an excellent double feature. The only other Nightmare film I like is part 4...

Yeah, that's a great 2x feature. No doubt.

Doctor Sleep bombed because Kubrick's The Shining isn't any good.

Yes to New Nightmare.
What the actual **** to Resurrection. (although I'd rather watch it instead of Revenge)

Everyone is so stuck on the Laurie Strode part of this movie that they can't enjoy the Dangertainment part, which is fun, fresh, exciting, and so much more enjoyable than 3,4,5,Curse, and yes even H20.

Believe me, I get it. It took me decades before I could enjoy Alien3.

If Resurrection were a prequel to H20 (i.e. what Michael Myers was doing for the past 20 years) everyone would embrace this film as I have.

I don't in any way agree with levcore, but in his partial defense, I have always stood by the 2010 film as well. It's not the best, certainly, but I think people are WAY too hard on it. I liked it.

Of course, I will admit that I have a built-in bias, being a huge Rooney Mara fan.

Lol, I will do two better...

Footloose 2011> Footloose 1984(which I still like)

Total Recall 2012 extended cut> Total Recall 1990(great Arnold movie, prefer the 2012 film as an adaptation of Philip K Dick's story)

I have so many unpopular movie opinions, that I am starting to think that all of my opinions are unpopular

Here's another doozy:

the 1990 Night of the Living Dead is vastly superior to the 1968 Night of the Living Dead in every way.
I watch the 1990 almost every year, but never the 1968.

The only thing going for the Joker is Phoenix's acting.

The movie itself is a pretentious bore.

There's a difference between "unpopular movie opinions" and "I wanna start some s***". You know who you are.
