Albania's in Europe - it wouldn't have counted anyway.

There was no relationship established between them and Lynch at that time (apart from the failed one), so that's where the speculation is rooted.

I am mostly curious about the missing "link" . I hope it is the Trilogy of Life and I REALLY hope they use that cover. It is so freakin' perfect . I am seriously surprised by this month. I have not seen In the Mood for Love but I have always wanted to so this is the highlight for me in the mainline. The Gainsborough Eclipse is the same as the other one, I have not seen it but is by far the most interesting thing offered this month. All the other titles aren't exactly my cup of tea or seem like no-buy for me . All in all, I was quite disappointed, I am really happy to have In the Mood for Love, though.

Your oldest film is from 1925, and from the former USSR. Does that make you a 90-year old ex-communist, Russian immigrant?

Speaking of being old, is anybody else picturing a yogurt commercial right now?

Alas, no. I'm one of those horrid "kriterion kidz" who's under 30. I'm not even supposed to like half the films I own on DVD or BD as they're apparently too old for me.

I think that Rosemary Baby will be among top five Criterion best selling (Blu,at least) titles of all time.Horror catalogue titles sales are doing great ,and this is a massive one!Not to mention that this is by far the biggest and most commercial horror title currently controlled by C.

Yeah, it's at the top of a ton of wishlists and in the middle of about a bazillion more.

It'll do very well.

Only one I have any reservations about, is "The Forgiveness of Blood"

Knowing me, I'll just buy it and figure out if I like it later!

Busy day at work and I actually forgot about the new releases for October coming today. So In The Mood For Love, no way The first time in a year I forget about the announcement day and I get one of my wish list. If I have to I guess I can forget it every month from now on. Maybe I will get City Lights next

Plus another Eclipse set for me, looking forward to Three Wicked Melodramas from Gainsborough Pictures

What I am trying to wonder at the moment is how are they going to fit everything they are missing for November ? We already "need" to get Week End, Grey Gardens, Trilogy of Life, Road Trilogy and I suppose On the Waterfront. I know we can't get everything but I was really hoping for those two trilogies to get releases this year .

Anyone else hitting up Barnes and Nobles for their 50% off all Criterion movies sale (60% off if you are a B & N member)?

I was was able to snag The Complete Monterey Pop Festival on blu for about $31 and Monsoon Wedding on blu (I needed to upgrade) for about $18.

It was such a steal.

December? November isn't the last month of the year.

No fainting here but very happy to remove one off my wish list. Glad everyone else is getting Rosemary's Baby as well.

But I think it is unlikely . Who knows. Criterion is always pushing stuff. See, I am not one who highly anticipated Y Tu Mama Tambien but it appeared again in last's year "drawing" and it seems nowhere to be found. What hopes do I have of seeing both trilogies this year if the rumors only started about a year ago ?

Me too... I'm 20 and don't personally know anyone my age that I have any film interests in common with (aside from people on here )...it's kinda sad, really.
