To each his own. I took more from it than that.
[Show spoiler]He didn't realize he was dying during the dance sequence. It was just a moment of spontaneous joy.
The idea that even the simplest life has it's own form of magic resonated with me.

Counterpoint: thousands of people die each year from treatable conditions. Yet somehow this guy is supposed to be more special because....?

Since the new JVC RS3200 does quite well with HDR content I continue upgrading titles with good reviews of video. The following is the latest replacements:

Just ordered Mute Witness from Shout on UHD BD for $12.15 (after 15% coupon on the order page) and curiously Amazon listed this as "FINAL SALE" ..... I don't think I've seen that before but I sure would like them to notify me everytime they decide to do a sale like this!

Recent JVC Laser Based projector's are very capable and confident with HDR which is so refreshing.

A recent house party guest said he's never seen a projector that looked like a flat panel display before and it was the best projection setup he had ever seen.

I'll be seeing it tomorrow or this weekend. Hoping for the best but unfortunately, the multiple trailers I saw weren't very inspiring.

It's been a ridiculously long wait... hope it will have been worth it

For those interested in my trip

[Show spoiler]We've had an amazing time in Stockholm... Crazy expensive here, but the city is absolutely stunning...

For the second straight year, we got an email telling us that one of our flights had been cancelled... Last year it was because someone turned off the lights at the Manchester airport.. This year it's because they've had to shut down airspace over SCHIPOL airport because of a NATO meeting (not sure why these guys have to meet right now when I'm on vacation )

Anyhow..we'll now have to make a short trip to Copenhagen with a layover before getting in to Amsterdam...We'll be spending the weekend in a small village called WEESP (pronounced VAYsp) hopefully bike riding between windmills and a castle! before heading to Paris - where I'm hoping my planned tours of Versailles, The Louvre and Eiffel tower aren't cancelled due to strikes ... I have been unable to secure tickets to The Catacombs because of this situation...

I heard the Louvre is closed but that was a few days ago. The website says it's open today.

It’s getting very mixed reactions. Weird and risky have come up a lot. Can’t wait personally.

Very cool, visited Stonehenge in my teen years and recited Olde English (what can I say, we were young!) my friend convinced me it would draw spirits.

Always been fascinated with cults and Pagan traditions.

Yeah... always wondered about that strategy.
Personally, I wish they would commission, and concentrate on, one very good movie at a time... you know how I feel about HALLOWEEN KILLS... and I have zero desire to see what the next EXORCIST or OMEN movie have to offer... and only marginally care about the next instalment of THE STRANGERS ..

Now THEY FOLLOW and TALK2ME.... I'm all in..

Mike Flanagan is writing and directing the next Exorcist movie. The last one was absolutely terrible, but I trust Flanagan based on his track record. He has said he wants to make this the scariest thing he's ever done. If you're familiar with his work you know that is a tall order. Haunting of Hill House is still one of the scariest things I've ever seen.

The First Omen was actually good in my opinion.

Was just about to say same thing about The First Omen, really enjoyed it. Then again, I enjoyed Halloween Ends and Joker 2!
