Glad I got Little Shop of Horrors last night for $10.25 as it went back up in price today. Have been looking for it to get to around $10 for a long time now.

Dial M For Murder and Little Shop of Horrors are back down to their sale price (technically they are 24 cents more ).

YES! I'm so happy I decided to check the board before I went to bed. Just cancelled my earlier order for two other items (Xena Season 5 DVD for $9.75 and The Magic School Bus: Complete Series DVD for $25.49) and re-ordered them with Dial M for Murder. Thank you!

You can go into the pq threads and keep proclaiming the falsehood Kino does the masters for MGM titles instead of MGM there. The fact remains if Crit/TT/Arrow/Eureka/etc got the MGM deal Kino got the BDs would look the same unless they decided to mess the transfer provided to them.

Save $10 when you spend $50? Not sure if this applies only to American Express card owners or not but there are claims on RFD that some amazon customers are getting a email with a code like 10CODECA vaild to July 7th.

I did not get it, of course.

Thanks to all you good folks for being such wonderful enablers, now and again in the future.
Received my Star Trek Seasons 1-3 BR bundle today.. Shrink-wrapped, not a single slip cover, so at least they're uniform. As for shipping date, they promised July 3rd and sure enough, they were processed to ship on the 1st from Richmond BC, and made it to my door on the 3rd. So what do you think, they holding on to packages until they are good and ready?

Well, the order I made on Wednesday still hasn't shipped yet and its Friday. I get that Wednesday was a holiday but 2 business days should be plenty of time to ship out an order.

Too bad Best Buy doesn't stock Kino titles or I would have bought them there via price match. At least they ship out stuff fast (even if you got free shipping).

You may have misunderstood my suspicions. I'd made the order for Star Trek on June 10, and was promised then it would arrive July 3, and it did. It feels they held it until they could ship it to reach me on the day they promised, just for the sake of wishing I'd had Amazon Prime.

After seeing those pictures, I regret cancelling my order.

I've started seeing random ads for "Prime Day" which is apparently July 15 for every Amazon site. I guess it's a new thing starting this year and since I have the student Prime I'm hoping some good deals are to come
The comparison they keep making is to Black Friday, but I'll keep my expectations in check until I see the prices and on what products these special prices will be applied.

So now you have to pay $80 a year just to get deals. I know Amazon.com has had Prime only deals for a little while now. Amazon really needs to have more competition so they can stop doing crap like this and alienating their customer base.

I agree, Zeusonline could be good competition for Amazon, but their website is such a mess that I ended up closing my account with them. It also doesn't help that they've jacked up their prices now.

Yeah Zeusonline site is very primitive. If you did not know any better, you could almost mistake it for a scam website.

I got three or four emails about this in three or four languages!

But for $80.00, it would have to be something pretty spectacular to make it worthwhile. $80.00 is a lot of Blu-rays!

As it is I get free shipping and don't mind waiting 4-5 days for shipping instead of 2.

Yah if Amazon.ca offered better deals for the $80 a month - like amazon uk and .com have then it would be more worth it to me. Amazon.ca prime is way too much for what Canadian's get - they need to start offering streaming, and then I'd get rid of Netflix because it would cost less per year for that streaming service and you'd get the shipping benefits.

Right now I only have Prime because it was $39 for a student prime account. It's not the 2-day shipping for me, because even with standard shipping I get things the next day since I'm close to a distribution centre, but it's the free shipping on orders of any amount that I like. I really take advantage of the free shipping perk, many of my orders this year have been less than $25 so it's more than paid for itself now. For $80 I don't think it's worth it, especially considering what the other amazon's get with Prime.

Is this part of the Prime promo or are they price-matching someplace? Walmart and Best Buy both seem to be $24.xx...

I need to pick this up in-store.

I remember someone a while ago commented how their order shipped from Calgary. Well the order that I made last Wednesday finally shipped tonight, and it shipped from Calgary. So potentially good news for those that live in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
