What bothers me more than bad sales, is Amazon lying about the sales.

Seen a few things they advertise as "45% off", only to find out it's the same price it's been for 2 months. And they're just measuring against the original MSRP.

Lots of needles and electrodes are involved. The tests will last about an hour and they are intensely painful, like 8 out of 10 bad.

These tests are part of the requirements for my participation in the monoclonal anti-body drug trial and because I am also diagnosed with the peripheral neuropathy version of hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis due to my having small fiber neuropathy and amyloid deposition in my skin. I have amyloid all over.

Thursday I head right back to St. Louis for an echocardiogram, 6 minute walk test, a bunch of "how do I feel" surveys and finally my experimental drug infusion. It will be a 7 hour day plus 4 hours roundtrip travel time for 11 hours total.

I get no break on Friday, either, as I have an hour of cardiac rehab to do at a local hospital. Today, Tuesday, was my only day this week with no visits to a hospital.
Best wishes as always.

May never use but I am now equipped for 8K with an HDMI 2.1 switcher, fiber optic cable and projector. Not sure I want to spend >$600 for an 8K media player just to watch a few 8K demos.

Default One Six Right - Van Nuys Airport

OneSixRight.jpg

Hey guys I watched a DVD last night, this guy I met on a walk yesterday is also a Pilot he had a March Field Air Museum shirt. I told him I flew the Bird Dog in Vietnam, and got my Commercial & Instrument License in 1967 flying out of Van Nuys Airport, CA. He asked if I had seen this DVD about Van Nuys which in 1928 was built and called Metropolitan Airport of Los Angeles.

I didn't know Van Nuys had such a rich history, I started to fly there in 1963 right out of Franklin High School when I started my Aviation Classes at Glendale College. The College used Joe Kappa Flight School out of Van Nuys Airport. Life intervened had to quit flying, but went back in 1965. So when I went into the Army I had my Commercial & Instrument, that's how I got into Fix Wing or else I would have been Huey Helicopters in Vietnam and probably not here!

I feel kind of weird about getting the 80th anniversary Bugs Bunny set.

Feels more like a collectors item, and I feel like I shouldn't even have opened it.

I'm not super big on the big collectors edition things that take up a lot of space.

The three blu-ray discs are in a normal size blu-ray case; the box is larger only to accommodate the included Funko Pop of Bugs Bunny and a couple pieces of paper.

Click on the above thumbnail and then click on "overview" to see everything that is included.

I know, it came in today.

It's triggering a weird part of my brain, because the outer box has this bronze sticker that says "Limited Edition 26,186 of 30,000".

If the sticker was on the case instead of the box, I probably wouldn't even be thinking about it.

It's just a weird thing, I'm weird.

You’re not as weird as that Bugs Bunny Funko Pop. What a horrible thing that is. Each to their own but I hate Funko as much as Cabbage Patch Kids!

I just pulled the Blu-ray out and kept the rest intact. It's displayed on my movie shelf.

Hope the JVC projector owners are enjoying theirs as much as I am the RS3200. Never thought it would be that much better than my Sony VW600 but it really was worth the upgrade. Puts a big on my face every time we watch something on it.

You know I wouldn’t call the prime day sales bad but they are extremely frustrating to browse. Which is making me more picky in general. Give me sorting and waste less of my time and I probably would have bought quite a few things but I’m just pissed having to click each link to see the price.
