They sure are. They got me like that with the IMAX version of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I kept on looking at it when I was in the checkout line, and I felt something was wrong then, but I got it anyway. I get home and go online to Wal-Mart's website and low and behold; a slip cover.

I caught hell trying to get one, and finally two days later I went in late one night, and the lady on duty just gave me one. Geez! I went through so much for a slip cover.

If it were free, I wouldn't want this movie!

There is a line that needs to be drawn even with turning off the brain movies!

They made it a joyride in the airplane while the entire city is crumbling, cars falling, people falling, people dying all over and they smiling all the way enjoying their roller coaster ride in the plane.

I collect slips so the practice bugs me anyway... but its even WORSE when its a movie like Transformers 2 or G.I.Joe or even Iron Man where the slip was NECESSARY... just burns me up

Do think people are gonna panic when the real 2012 hits

, you know like raiding the grocery stores, etc. I beleive it will be the same as Y2K, people will go nuts and NOTHING WILL HAPPPEN!

Don't know why. Since the Mayan calender and our calender are different and 2012 on theres has already passed.

Finally nabbed the Target exclusive today and returned the inferior version. I just went back to the same store and more Target exclusives had materialized.

How does everyone feel about the documentary that came with the Target version? Is it pretty much like every other 2012 documentary?

People didn't panic THAT much with Y2K, at least not the majority. Sure, people stocked up, but as far as widespread panic, there was very little to none. It'll probably be the same thing with 2012, people stocking up and ranting about how everyone needs to be prepared. But I mean, if it's the end of the world...what is there to prepare for? lol

There was a special on this a few years back (on NG). They said when the current calendar we use today was created, the man used an encyclopedia of past Emperor's reigns as a source of the start year. But the encyclopedia he used had one Emperor's reign wrong by five years. And so, we should really be in 2015 right now, not 2010. Which means 2012 was really in 1997. That's what they say though...

If we are 5 years off then wouldnt 2012 have been in 2007 then ?

I also am about to watch this tonight. I watched the documentary while waiting for my GF to get home, you know... to gear up for the movie

It was kinda cool, little on the lame side, and they used a bunch of footage from the movie while discussing possibilities, which really discredited its scientific aspects in my opinion, took away from the realism, and made it seem like an advertisement for the movie, but it did have a few interesting perspectives.

I just finished watching it, and I'm going to give it a 'meh'. Normally I'm a big action/adventure freak but this just didn't do it for me. Honestly I guess I'm just not a big Emmerich fan. I HATE Independence Day, and I thought The Day After Tomorrow was just ok, I'd put this above id4 but below tdat. Some good audio though, some of the effects were good but some felt a little overcooked to me.

Oh, and Cusack sucks.
