Tamil mono is on the EPK feature...not the film. Film is only presented in Hindi.

Sunny, guys from Seyons: there has been a long hiatus of the frenzy for this movie.

Now may be the perfect time to again request the release rights or work directly with SUN to release this Tamil blu-ray.

Sunny, please request Ayngaran/API to obtain the rights from Sun one more time. Or, try to see if you can work with SUN and release yourself.

So, it appears that the old Ayngaran dual DVD that I have is still the best available copy...wow. Oh well, it looks ok for an Indian DVD; if only I could find a DVD of KHUDA GAWAH that looked as good.

Sorry for bumping but Sun Pictures have put up Enthiran on YouTube and you can watch it for a fee. It's in 1080p, it's not Blu ray quality but still looks good though.

Wow. They could have sold Ayngaran blu-ray rights a long time ago. Now they're making no money off of it. (Or maybe they're getting money from ads?)

I think, Indian home video industry has surrendered to piracy and price sensitivity and absolutely zero quality consciousness of majority of Indian consumers. The quality conscious viewers are left in lurch and the global audiences are deprived of true high def cinema that certainly deserves a wider and bigger stage.
Surprisingly we do get blu rays of Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar films one after the other. Not to forget the Indian Wachowskis, 'Sajid Khan and Farha Khan'. Slow clap.

I would even be ready to pay and download 50 gigs of data, if they want to keep the costs low. Just give us true high def picture and audio, rest we are well equipped to manage. In this context, there is no hope about classics. Though Arrow might pick up a classic or two for their World cinema catalogue.

Well I ended up here after seeing clip of this movie and going down the rabbit hole, trying to research each of the DVD and Blu Ray releases to find the truest version, and with English subs or dubbing. Looks like there's no real advancement on this, except, as someone else said here, the long cut is now available on iTunes US, for only $5 to buy!

I tried this version and in my opinion while the quality is ok, the Amazon instant video version is better, same transfer, but seems Amazon uses higher bitrate or better encoding.
