If anything, they'll reach an agreement that gives both sides something they want. We'll see what happens.
Perhaps if Disney let fox keep the fox fanfare at the start of the films (and a small percentage of sales). The films almost wouldn't seem the same without it!

I hope they keep the audio, at least.

I'm excited about owning Star Wars on Blu if this means the UOT getting the respect it deserves.

But can Fox release much of anything without playing ball with Lucusfilm/Disney? I suppose they can release what they already have over and over again, but Lucasfilm must still hold the best quality material from which to work on new Blu-Ray (or future, higher-resolution formats) releases.

Hopefully they can reach some agreement. It was never Fox that was holding up the release of the unaltered trilogy, anyway. They know they'd make money off it; and what company would turn down easy money?

You must have a different definition of quickly. What has George Lucas given us since 1989? Nothing but Gungans, emo Jedi and nuclear-proof refrigerators. I guess massive amounts of disappointment would sum it up best.

I remember a lot of people saying that in 1999, then TPM happened. History will most likely repeat itself.

3 Great Live Action Movie (Well, 2 and AotC), 1 Good Animated Feature, 5 Years of Clone Wars.
Oodles of great new characters. New planets to explore. Awesome new merchandise. And more...
The fantastic return of Indiana Jones to the big screen. The best movie since Raiders.

Well, not sure what to think on this! I'm glad that GL is staying on as creative consultant. He's also consultant on Clone Wars and I love that series! So I guess we'll see!

The awesome SW Special Editions.

Three of the best movies ever made, including THE best movie ever made-ROTS.

Tons of new quotable, unforgettable lines and characters, amazing worlds, brilliant images with incredible scores, etc.

I love George Lucas, and what he has done for the world of cinema, and you will never change that as the hater that you are.

Hail to George!!!!

I am not sure what to think of all this really. I want more than anything to have the OUT released in 1080 but it would be a little disturbing to have the Disney castle and Tinkerbell before the crawl.

I wonder how soon until Disney re-releases Episodes I-VI? Wil they come with those nice blue Disney slips? With original artwork?

Just ignore him. We're having a fairly positive discussion about Star Wars for once. Don't let people distract ya.
