Yes to all said above! Spectacular episodes. A lot of tension and stakes. Definitely didn't feel like mission of the week.
As said above, Palpatine's moment was bad ass, but having Ian MacDiarmid voice him, made it all a thousand times better. Just chilling delivery of those lines. A real emotional ending, aswell. I wonder what's next! |

I was about to comment about how the Show called "The Bad Batch" has its best episodes not even featuring the titling group. But honestly these two could've been made as one so easily and were so incredibly good. I wanted more of this during the Season, but I'll take what I can get.
Ian McDiarmid's performance in his one speech here is the most bone chilling he's given as Palpatine the past few years. It's been so good to have him back Since they started to bring him back with Rebels S4. |

The only thing that was missing there was the Darth Sidious theme. It seems like Disney has veered away from using the Williams-composed themes after Rebels/The Clone Wars finished. Apart from the one-off use of The Force theme in The Mandalorian, everything else outside of The Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett's specific sounds has been generic/non-Star Wars sounding music. Even in Obi-Wan, the showrunner admitted they were not allowed to use it for some reason, but were able to at the last minute, which is why some of the themes got into the last episode and John Williams wrote an "Obi-Wan theme".

Indeed, TCW is the worst culprit for childish silly episodes, especially in those first two seasons.
A couple of brilliant Bad Batch episodes, I love the more intrigue filled stuff. The political aspects of the prequel area can be horribly dull, but this pulled things together in a compelling way and demonstrated how well they can be used. The clones are such a fascinating part of Star Wars lore at this point. |

People really complain about "child-like" episodes in a show for kids?
Like look, there is nothing insulting about saying "Star Wars is a Kids franchise". That's what George Lucas intended from day 1. Having it be for kids does not mean it stops it from getting dark or serious. Hell, just look at Batman The Animated Series and/or PIXAR! Being made for kids =/= Pure trivial junk. |

I love how quickly he appeared. Which basically meant the dude was just chilling down there, waiting for his moment. Like, I know his office is down there, but he still got there quick. So dramatic, that Palpy!

Palpatine the master manipulator, playing both sides for fools. Not unlike how the Rothchilds would fund both sides of European wars in the past. I wonder if George Lucas intended him as a metaphor of the Rothchilds |

Technically episode 3 does indeed feature The Bad Batch. Albeit only one of them.

Disagree. I liked the latest episode. It had great character development, with Omega having to deal with Echo's departure and Tech getting closer with her, and the group itself becoming more of a family. I liked it.

Not every series needs a major story driving to some conclusion. In the old days, shows were mostly/all filler episodes. I personally like having some eps that just let the world breathe and do stuff, as long as the plot of those episodes doesn't suck. I thought this one was okay, and one kinda big thing did happen.
