Finally got to watch episode 1. Well worth the wait. Can't wait for this wild ride of a season.

New opening song and dance is good. Grillo breaking at the end made me laugh. Season 1 still edges it out though.

Was heartbreaking watching Peacemaker seeing and missing out on the life he'd always wanted while hanging out with his dad and brother. Cena might be starting to edge out Batista as the best wrestler turned actor. He's improving so much it's wild.

It makes no sense that Waller screwed Harcourt over she wasn’t the one that leaked everything it was her own daughter.

Really? The same Harcourt who willingly worked with the woman who whacked her over the head in TSS? It's absolutely realistic that someone as controlling and heavy handed as Waller would assume Harcourt or Murn "corrupted" her daughter and turned her against her. And since Murn is dead, Harcourt gets to carry the blame.

Also, Waller is petty AF. Even though it's a cut scene from TSS it's heavily implied that the reason she put Flagg on the decoy squad is because he made a mean joke about one of her blouses.

can't believe it, mark down the date, but I am actually in agreement with BB, not to the extreme of making a kid friendly edit of the show but in general terms of the immediate tonal shift, following up Superman with this. I get that in terms of comic books you can have different tones for different characters, comics but this is a huge tonal shift in what is supposed to be a connected (loosely?) universe. I can handle the tonal shift because the movies, shows aren't bad, Cena is great at Peacemaker but another con for me, is at this point Gunn's schtick is wearing off for me, like BB alluded to, good in doses. I never thought the marriage of him and Superman was a good one. It was a Gunn movie featuring Superman. It wasn't bad but what may be worse, it was just completely forgettable.

Another con for me for Peacemaker was the change of the intro song

Couldn't believe that it had been three years since season one and was surprised to see David Denman in this

Glad they didn’t change the show to match the tone of Superman, that would have been idiotic. Luckily most critics and fans agree the show is amazing
