Just got mine in today! 4K signed by Mr. Jimmy Hunt. Anyone else notice their slip being really loose? Not complaining though, glad to have the release!!

Billy Gray -- the child actor from The Day the Earth Stood Still is alive at 84. Wouldn't it be cool if WB* copied this idea and released the movie in UHD with a poster!?

I'd buy that for some dollars.

*EDIT: Actually it's a Fox Title.

The only think I can think of is if Disney does a deal with Kino just for the 20th century fox films.

Mine showed up today in the mail with the movie and poster. Woo hoo! I'm stoked about this.

Be warned, though, that both ends of the slipcover have those godawful clear circular stickers (sort of like what Arrow uses for their box set cardboard) that can tear the artwork if one is not careful removing them. My slipcover is mostly unmarred after removal, but the nine-degree temperatures during shipping made the stickers a doozy to take off.

Mine arrived early today, as well (originally scheduled for Dec 29). Merry Christmas to me. My slip cover was slightly dented (edges compressed), but I've had worse, although you would think that it would be flawless after being bubble wrapped and cushioned in a huge box to accommodate the poster (66 of 1000; order # 1415). Also keep a look out for the little pin (with picture of Martian Intelligence - Leader) rattling around in the box.

Received mine today too. Just a heads up to be careful when removing the slipcover so as to not remove the ink from the slipcover since they used 2" clear circle stickers on both ends of the slipcover.

I also noticed something familiar when removing the shrinkwrap: "Disc Made in Mexico". Looking at the disc the IFPI code is KKRC which means the disc was made in Guadalajara, Mexico at least for the UHD Blu-ray.

First time watching the film tonight. It was a real treat! My son got a kick out of it as well! Definitely worth an add to your collection if you are on the fence

Wait - this was supposed to come with a pin? I just checked my box and I don't see this; hadn't really disturbed the packaging either as I hadn't gotten around to throwing out the box yet.

Nothing yet for me. Ordered during TCM pre-sale on 4/26 for collector's set with poster. No longer have the confirmation email. Sent email to Ignite and radio silence. I did get their email that they had started shipping. Hoping something ships next week.

Right? LOL.

No, I recall it being previously mentioned that the discs were being manufactured in Europe so maybe something changed. The Mexican Technicolor facilities do have QC issues though since their discs do frequently come with scratches. Luckily though my disc was not affected from what I can see.
