![]() you want this to connect to your subwoofer, then connect one rca towards one sub, then the other to the secondary subwoofer. on the subwoofer itself, you need this y adapter, ![]() connecting your current subwoofer cable to one end, while the TWO prongs you connect to the LR of the subwoofer INPUT side of the subwoofer. Tested this sub by the way tonight, felt a bit 'baseball-y', decided to play the old school "soundhound organ cd", to play some great tunes. Spectacular. ![]() care for some waterfalls? ![]() Last edited by jomari; 04-12-2009 at 03:52 AM. |

Yes, you need one Y adapter (2 male, 1 female) for each sub and one Y adapter (1 male, 2 female) for the back of the receiver.

Thanks BD, I will need to pick up an SPL meter from radio shack (if there is a cheaper alternative that can still get the job done, please let me know).
I haven't calibrated using the Onkyo 606's auto calibration. Mainly because most of every thread I read, the majority don't like the settings they get from it and I hear you need total silence. But I will give it a try and see what happens. |

![]() RS's SPL meter is the most inexpensive but definitely accurate SPLs out there favored by many. sure you can get some inexpensive ones, but consider this as an example - would you want a $1 ruler that inaccurately measures an inch? or pay 50 cents more to get that accuracy? the reason why people have disliked the results of that program is that it doesnt seem to produce what they wanted for their speakers, always defaulting to either Large settings, and/or improper calculations. Ive mentioned this before, folks, what these programs do, including MCACC, is primarily for room equalization, room interaction between your speakers and your environment. NOT for setting up your speakers. Last edited by jomari; 04-12-2009 at 04:19 AM. |
