I keep a ‘not yet seen’ list. I wouldn’t necessarily buy some of them on physical media but occasionally I do and think ‘how come I’ve not seen this before?’ The list gets added to and grows ever larger and faster than the Blob even though I try to see as many as I can.

My ‘to watch’ pile of films, TV and concerts stuff on physical media is reaching The Shard at London Bridge height!

On sale for $13.99 so ordered it. Appreciate the nudge. Really odd considering I love Spielberg that I never even thought about this.

Since my system is still in boxes, I have a running list of titles released going back to last September which I want to buy. Because there is no hurry for me, I will wait for a deal on them. The list is currently at 23. Since that time however, I still have purchased 37 titles, so it’s not like I am completely sitting on the sidelines.

How do you decide what titles go on the list? I used to keep a "not watched yet" list of my disc collection but it became too large and was annoying to have to keep updating that I just stopped.

Recommendations from friends/folk on here, my own research and just something that I fancy because it’s directed by a certain director or has an actor/s in who I like.

It doesn’t always work out and some films are real stinkers but several others are entertaining enough or very good that I was glad I finally watched and some gems I want to own on physical media.

I recently bought from my list: Eight for Siver AKA The Cursed. It was recommended by Steedeel of this parish and Jayne Mansfield’s Car because it starred and was directed by Billy Bob Thornton plus the great Robert Duvall was in it and he was excellent as per usual.

Both turned out to be films I really like due to their unusual and quirky style.

Mob Land, just finished this series on Paramount+. Was interesting seeing Joanne Froggatt from Downton Abbey in the cast. We have watched all the Dexter series and now watching Dexter: Resurrection also on Paramount+.

@ Steedeel - Have watched the trailers for From the World of John Wick: Ballerina and it will be one of the few blind buys for me. Will buy Ghosted if it ever makes it to disc.

Ordered Promising Young Woman on UHD BD and received the corrected disc.
(The release had a incorrect audio track when first released.)

Has anyone ever been on a bigger run than Spielberg in the 80's? Look at how many movies he directed that decade and nearly everyone is considered a stone cold classic. That's not even mentioning the films he produced like Gremlins, Goonies, and Poltergeist.

What was wrong with the original audio track. I haven't watched the disc since I first got it. I don't remember anything strange with the audio...If memory serves, it was quite good.

The original 4K disc was advertised as having Dolby Atmos, but it did not have it. Instead, it had "Dolby Digital 5.1 Atmos" and there is no such thing; it was just a lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 track. The original 4K disc also had DTS-HD MA 5.1.

The corrected disc has Atmos and has dropped the DTS-HD MA 5.1 track. If the 4K disc audio menu shows a DTS track, it is the incorrect disc.

And Duel AND Jaws before that. Two of my favourites.
