The mail just came.
And aside from my Newest Issue of Home Theater Magazine;I also had a box from Amazon.

Which I found unusual, since I haven't ordered anything from Amazon.
So,being curious I opened it up.And what did I find inside?

Two Brand New And Incredible SACD's.

One of one of the All-Time Clasic Albums and one of the Finest Made for SACD:

Pink Floyd = Dark Side Of The Moon (30th Anniversary Edition)...

And then I look to Find One Of my Favorite Artists who is Amazing on the Piano, and an even Better Singer.

Diana Krall = When I Look In Your Eyes....

There was No Card or Letter Enclosed.
So I was wondering where has this Amazingly Generous Gift Come From.

So,I look at the Customer Copy of the Invoice Included in the Box.And Added to the Invoice of this Very Kind,Generous, and Amazing Gesture was...

"Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Travis"

I Just Thought I should share this Amazing Act of Kindness and another Example of How Many Wonderful Members are a Part of this Forum.

SO TRAVIS,MY FRIEND...THANK YOU !!!

I Know its Sleeping Time and Early Thursday Morning in Taiwan
(Where You Live).
But,my Friend.I Am Very Thankful For This Most Wonderful Surprise.

So now my SACD Collection has Started.

And This Is A Gesture And Surprise That will certainly make your Day.

I Am Blessed To Be a Member Of This Amazing Forum.
Good Job Travis! I've got the pink floyd sacd coming real soon It's supposedly is really good.

I Like the New Avitar landry_p,my Friend.

Well,I have everything for the Final Three DIY Sub Risers Now but the 2 X 4 or 2 X 6 Stud,I will have cut into 18 inch lengths(3 per Riser).
Along with a Large Bottle of Gorilla Glue,And 1 or 2 additional bags of the polyfill insulation I use under the riser, in the two voids created with the 3 Stud Support Legs.

I have 3 Bags Already.Along with All the Carpeting,The Carpet Tacks(Since my Uncle still hasn't returned our Electric Stapling Gun)The Screws, and All the Plyboard for Three Risers. So,I will simply follow the same plan I used to build my First Riser(I have a folder for in my gallery).

Also Enough Plywood To Make Either Three Shelves for my Audio Rack I May Bring Out of Retirement.
Or Three Amp Platforms,Or A Riser Shelf To go on top of my current short AV Rack.

Which would allow me to add two additional Components to this Rack and the Center Speaker on Top of the Riser(Which would actually put it in the Perfect Height, for my Ear Level on the New Futon).

So,I need a couple of Y-Splitters and a couple of cables,I will be purchasing, this week.To Finally Complete having All Four Polk Audio PSW10's In Action.

Then for the Sub(s) I will Build myself.
Along with the Plate Amp and 10 inch Driver For One Sub.
It seems that I may have also made a deal on another Higher Power Plate Amp and a Heavy Duty 12 inch Driver.

So,looks as if I will be constructing (or having a shop,I know of close by)Make two sub cabinets for me.

One for the 10 Inch and the Other for the 12 inch.
I would then Keep Two of my Four PSW10's.

And donate the other Two PSW10's to a couple of noobies who may be looking to build their first real system, but(like many of us)Have a Budget to Follow.

So,I hope that will be a way to Give Back to all of you,who has been so Generous to Me.

Your gear is top notch and better than mine, so by no means is yours a "1".

Travis, very cool of you to send those. I know Todd wanted a couple and now he has them. There are so many members on this site who step up and do things for others, than I too am in awe of the generousity of this sites members. It is like none I have seen nor heard of.....

I must agree.
That the members here are some of the Finest Individuals to Ever Surf the Internet.

And looks as if in a couple of hours you will have mail.PayPal Mail. As,the snow turned into a cold 38 degree rain and has washed away almost all of the snow.
Hard to believe just hours ago everything was white and covered.

So,my Mom is at a Doctors Appointment for her Wrist or shoulder(I cant keep up)Then she will run by the bank and take care of my funds.

So,I hope you find a way to put it to good use.Like another Bust or Collectible.A Blu-Ray,or Dinner for the Family

And Thank You Sincerely for the Sub my Friend.I sincerely appreciate it.And with the cables and other items I will be ordering this week(I believe some termination sleeves will be a part of that purchase).
So,if they are I will let you know.
Then they can be on their way to you.
(So you can get the Indigo HyperLitz 2 ready for action).

Hi Todd (everyone else as well)!

Just came home and read about Travis' most generous gift to you. Simply incredible! Kind of almost makes it extra-special as he lives halfway around the world. This is an amazing gesture and Travis you are to be commended!

Sounds like a plan my friend. I am waiting for the results, and will keep a watchful eye on your gallery and thread. Nice gesture (as always) to donate the subs. I am sure a new guy would appreciate a polk sub. I know I would. Tell unc to bring the staple gun back too! lol Have good evening Todd. I am getting ready for job #2. TTYL

Way to go Travis! That just goes to show that there are still some great folks out there. I have been a member of other forums, and the people on them are not all that great. Travis sent the sacds and that was a kind gesture. Good people around here fellas.

Tals,

It sounds like you are doing well - I am glad. Holy Sh!t! Your set-up is getting upgraded by leaps and bounds! Soon it will rival some of the better non-Bedroom set-ups! Congrats!

Many kudos goes to the generous and kind acts by many on here!

I must say, things have gotten very busy at work for me lately, which has only allowed me to mostly skim through some of the threads and posts. Plus, I have neglected my HT obsession a bit and have diverted my interests more towards the Vintage. Unexpectedly, I have become a collector and so far I have secured four Vintage receivers! My goal is to own at least one, decent condition, receiver from the main manufacturers from the 70's. So far I have Pioneer, Yamaha, Kenwood and Onkyo represented (all made in Japan in the 70's). I hope to get my hands on a Marantz, Sansui and Fisher (some outrageous prices on ebay by those who are just looking to profit and way more than I'm willing to pay). So please send leads my way!

These vintage things are awesome (as far as sight and sound) and being a bit of a geek, I love to check out the inner-workings of these things. Hopefully, I'll learn enough to be able to repair or recondition them if needed. So far, I have only learned to change burnt bulbs on them.

Anyways, enough of me. Please stay on top of the pics! And congrats again!

Todd,

Glad you like the SACDs. Was worried about Diana Krall. I love her and have her BD and all her albums, and a couple DVDs. All of her albums are great and it took me a long time to decide which one to pick. I have Dark Side of the Moon too and a few Diana Krall on SACD, they

Let me know how you like them after you listen to them.

Have to say thank you to Dennis; he gave me your address and made this drive-by possible. And for sending the SACD player, which gave me the idea.

I have to say, Todd, you are a great and always give me great info and take the time to help with advice. I really appreciate it.

Hi Mike,Buddy.

Yes Sir.Dennis was Very Kind to send Me a Sony SACD/CD/DVD player that looks completely Brand New.

Original Box,Original Styrofoam,Original Plastic packet with the Manual and all other types of Info(Also a remote Control that looks as if it has Never Been Used).

Then The SACD Player, which didn't have a fingerprint,a smudge,a scratch, even a mark on the connection jacks on back.

So if he used it,it was for about an hour, and then was boxed back up.

So,Yes Dennis was Extremely Kind in his Gift(As were Travis and Sean)
