sales were pretty weak overall, not all bad on my end though. Ending up grabbing Breaking Bad and The Wire series. Went into the sale wanting to pick up another 240hz monitor for when friends are over gaming but no such luck.

Are there actually any monitors that can handle more than 60 Hz input?

As far as I know, all TVs and monitors on the market that claim greater than 60 Hz output (120 Hz/240 Hz) are all fake interpolated frames.

Being able to output 120 Hz/240 Hz is only really beneficial to 3D at this point. I'm a purist, so I don't want artificial frames inserted into the source -- to me it looks unnatural (soap opera effect on films etc.).

huge difference in motion blur from 60hz - 120 running high end pc's, even quite noticeable on a PS4, does improve viewing sports as well. 240 is negligibly better for gaming (on a monitor) but just future-proofs the purchase for 3d, where 240 is significantly better compared to 120.

side note, yes 120 will put in "fake" frames for movies creating a smoothing (almost pop) effect. I understand why that may not be preferred. I'm more bothered by 60Hz gaming compared to soap-opera so my screen purchases reflect that.

Signed up just to get the Cheers set for $44 Deals were terrible all around though. I was on the fence about John Wick, but as someone mentioned above, this will be $9.99 or less before the year is out. Boxing day perhaps.

If anyone else ordered the Cheers set during Prime Days, it's a giant mess of different sized boxes and seasons. Just got mine today and wasn't expecting that. Season 1 is a normal DVD case, 2 - 4 are bigger. 5 is a normal DVD case again, etc. Looks like they took a bunch of random cases, taped them around (yes, it looks like there's tape to hold the bundle together) and then plastic wrapped it. Not pretty for those with OCD, but it will do the job for me.

I think $449.00 was a pretty good deal yesterday. Really glad BB matched for me, the credit came through today for me. Spoke to a guy at work who got in on some Amazon glitch in the past and was able to pick one up for $270 or something insane like that.

Me too - I got it when it first came out for $112.80 on a weird Amazon.ca preorder price error, and I still occassionally take it to bed and gently cradle it in my arms as I drift off to sleep.

I noticed that my last 4 or 5 orders have been sent from Montreal. It seems that they have opened a new warehouse there. Also, I don't know why but all my orders for the last few months have been sent by Expedited shipping even though I chose Free Super Saver Shipping as the shipping option (I don't have prime). I certainly won't complain from this situation since my orders now take 1 or 2 days to be delivered...

Recieved my copy of The Others today. Purchased at $9.99 however it did not come as stated.

Item image and description mention a Digital Copy, but it was ne'er to be found.
It did come with a mint slipcover however!
Chatted with Amazon customer service and am getting a 30% refund for the missing digital copy and told her to check the remaining stock as I do not believe this title ever did come with a digital copy in Canada but I could be wrong.
