Since there has been a lack of news in this forum, DF announced Point Doom as the next DF release. There was also a new live stream yesterday.

Quote:
MAJOR BREAKING NEWS!!!: The #9 release from Dark Force will now be a mega deluxe single edition of the 2000 action/thriller POINT DOOM. The new HD Blu-ray deluxe disc will not only include an unbelievable looking new transfer of the movie but also NEVER SEEN BEFORE interviews with the stars filmed from the set of POINT DOOM in 1999! Jennifer O'Dell-Richard Grieco-Angie Everhart-Zach Galligan and more! PLUS behind the scenes MAKING OF POINT DOOM featuring ICE T, Sebastian Bach and David DeFalco on the set when they were young, the VAGOS motorcycle club playing the SATAN'S SLAVES and much much more. You will not want to miss this nostalgic presentation of this all-star cast action packed genre flick from the late '90's!

Don't worry the board has therapists with puppies standing by to heal the trauma of reading a post written by a user one dislikes.

But you know, you know, but it was, you know, written by David, you know.

I think my favorite imdb review of this movie is this one (though the one titled "These bikers had really, really white teeth..." is a close second).

[Show spoiler]I should have known better. With an all star cast including Angie Everhart, Richard Greico, Andrew Dice Clay, and Sebastian Bach, how could this movie not be terrible? Well if it had a semi-coherent plot, decent attempts at acting by all the actors, decent characters, one or two gun fights that didn't look like little kids playing cowboys and indians... Any of those would have been enough. Alas, none of those things happened in this movie.

Angie plays an epileptic, who also must be mentally retarded (the character not the model). Greico plays the world's only non-sleazy talent agent, alright Greico is inherently sleazy, but the character is supposed to not be (suspend disbelief alright!). Clay runs a nudie bar, and is well... Clay. Oh and Sebastian Bach and his hair play a tough. Alright so it is Sebastian Bach trying to play a guy who tries to play tough.

He may have had a contract on one but, according to Bill, he had old-fashioned hand-shake deals to sell two films via Ronin. He didn't want to go back on that, but, reportedly, that is not always his position. That indicates to me that he wanted to give them a chance, a do-over of sorts, so honoring the hand-shake deals gave him an excuse/opportunity to do that. Remember, his brother has a productive relationship with Ronin, distributing multiple special edition titles, and Walt's opinion seems to carry weight with Bill, based on Bill's actions. Now, if you just listen to what he says, you'd get a different idea.

Since it is so upsetting to a few people here when I am quoted, including kraven, who has made this request several times, and since there are some on the board who genuinely hate some of the other participants on the board, for whatever personal reasons they may have, I just wanted to say I'm fine with people just labeling a post with my name, if it is a response to one of mine, without quoting what I have said. I can figure out which post you are replying to and, that way, you won't risk becoming similarly targeted by quoting me, as people here can, unfortunately, fall into holding grudges. You don't need to quote me when addressing something to me or replying to me and I don't want to be the cause of additional conflict, especially not for someone just trying to talk about the label/news/releases and the like.

To rdodolak...
[Show spoiler]
These forums are here for that but it's really not like that on the CR and DF boards. The Blu-ray forum at large is generally filled with interesting people who are looking to communicate and exchange ideas and information and even just have a random dialogue but, for whatever reason, the CR and DF boards are really more focused on limiting contact, limiting how much people have to read, not bothering each other, and then making odd jokes and, ultimately, complaining a lot about these specific labels. These two are not really what you'd call fan boards and if you say you like the label you risk being labeled a shill. That's why I stopped posting the announcements here. No one cares, no one even reads them so it's a waste of page space. Anyway, a meeting of the minds is punishable on the CR and DF boards. Such is life.

Has "The Last Victim/Forced Entry" blu ray shipped for anyone who ordered it? I ordered a bundle which included both "The Last Victim/Forced Entry" and "Steel Arena" on blu ray a couple of days ago. Current status is awaiting fulfillment. I honestly don't mind waiting, but I was curious all the same.

What's wrong with me, or anyone else for that matter, quoting them just like any other member? I tend to lean away from censorship, but if we're going to censor this thread then it might as well be deleted.

I’m in full agreement with you until said troll lies about seeing The Farmer on TCM Underground just to make a label seem right for not releasing it

I too received an email that my Forced Entry blu order was completed. I know a lot of you guys like to talk s#!t about Dark Force (and the Demon in general), but I for one have never had a problem with them. I've always been able to get an order in, and under the circumstances everything has still shipped out quickly.

I've just come to the conclusion that a few people around here just like b!tching to b!tch.

[Show spoiler]
1) TCM was using VHS copies from Paley and UCLA for their late-night horror and slasher outings starting in 1994, prior to labeling the "show" as "TCM Underground", but it was still "TCM Underground", just a prior, as-yet unnamed, version of it.

2) I've fully acknowledged that a couple of other people say it was Showtime that borrowed the UCLA or Paley sourced copy to air in the early 90s.

3) I saw multiple films with my Grandfather on post and have been chastised by people, one in particular who insists up and down that we saw The Farmer on the base when it was shown for officers in a private residence, watching from behind.

4) Your jealousy over me having seen one film, just one, that you haven't seen, in a sea of other films, almost definitely including films I haven't ever seen, that you have seen, is getting uncomfortable and bordering on obsessive. Please stop raising the issue, if you can't get over it, and use the PM feature to vent on the topic. It isn't related to Dark Force in any way and is only loosely connected to Code Red, given Bill's statements of no forthcoming release.

5) I have no belief, one way or the other, when it comes to the right and wrong of film choice of any cult label. Bill makes decisions that are calculated, chiefly, to protect Code Red financially, so that his company can continue to put out incredible releases, rather than go bankrupt. There is no such thing as right or wrong, just profitable or unprofitable, affordable or unaffordable and achievable or impossible. That is the same goal set by Dark Force, most recently in discussing per title limits, and the same goal we see again and again, with other labels. Money matters.

With all of that said, I respect everyone here, but some really do need to consider letting go of the need to snipe over something as ridiculous as who happened to see a random film 25 to 40 years ago. We're all supposed to be fans of these labels and the films they put out. Aren't we? Why else would we all be here? Our different life experience shouldn't cause conflict or be a cause for another round of accusations and recriminations, just for watching a movie and not loving it.

Ordered my copy of The Last Victim by itself right when it went up on 7 March and it says "Awaiting Fulfillment".

Has to be from first batch of 500. It wouldn't take this long to sell 250.
