I had more issues with Al Pacino's acting in Godfather III than Sofia Coppola's.

The blue/grayish zombie make up in Dawn of the Dead (1978) is brillant.

And with Pacino that can be very dangerous!

MoS was good but it sure would be nice to see Cavill actually play Superman (something he didn’t really do until the last part of JL).

Too bad WB is pushing this ‘soft reboot’ nonsense. I think Cavill and a good director can still give us an awesome Superman movie.

Sofia's one of my favorite contemporary directors, easily. Whenever I happen to flip by The Godfather Part III I feel sorry for her, though. She had no business being tossed into a role where she had no real ability to pull it off. That's just an unfair thing to do to someone.

But she found her role, of course, behind the camera as both a writer and definitely as a director. Love her movies.

The Godfather (and its 2 sequels) don't work for me. The biggest problem I have is they romanticize the Mafia, and expect us to feel bad when tragedy befalls one of the characters.

We reap what we sow.

I think you're painting a picture that's a little more simple than that painted in the films (or books, for that matter).

Shazam! is the best DCEU film, in my humble opinion.

I never thought the first two Godfather films romanticized the mafia. If anything every character is undone buy their decisions, especially Michael. I have only seen Part III a few times due to its being awful but I remember pretty much the same thing happening in it. The downfall of Michael is the entire point of the trilogy.

The talking baby genre is a stain upon "cinema".

To be fair, I don't think that "lost baby genre" comment is necessarily all that unpopular, either.

Garbage Pail Kids is a fun movie and I enjoy it every time I watch it. The poster from Shout hangs proudly in my music room.

Midsommar is a much better film than Hereditary.
