Good Morning cB,my Friend.
I Hope You Are Doing Well!

Sadly I haven't been able to hook up my Amp or the SACD Player.
No room anywhere to place either.

But today no one has any appointments.
My Dad is feeling better(though his back is still a problem)
But he said we were going to go to Lowes Today.

So,I will either Build a Double Shelf Riser,to fit on top of my current AV Stand.
Or get the pieces needed to assemble a Modular Rack.Use it for a while.

Then when I can go with a New AV Rack,Or Modify one of my other racks.I can use the modular rack sonewhere else.

So,if all goes as Planned,Later Today,or Early Tomorrow,I will have the Amp and SACD Player Connected.

And the old futon removed and the New One Assembled.

And spend some time just Listening to and enjoying some amazing music(and maybe even a Movie)

Travis, very cool of you to send those. I know Todd wanted a couple and now he has them. There are so many members on this site who step up and do things for others, than I too am in awe of the generousity of this sites members. It is like none I have seen nor heard of.....
I agree this site rules!!! There is a wealth of information on this site!! And for the "most" part people are nice and love to share their passion for blu and HT!

Good Morning Fors*.my Friend.
I hope your morning is a Good One.

And I will say the reply to cB,applies to your question as well.

If I had somewhere to set them.
Or if,my Dad hadn't been sick, and then threw his back out
.

And if my Mom didn't have Four Appointments earlier this week. And the Dog,Having an Appointment as well.

So,I was put in position where I couldn't get anything done this last 7 days(or more)Since my Dad went to the Doctor with Strept Throat and a URI.

Good Morning Scooby.
I hope all is going well your way.

Congratulations on the New Metallica Disc.
Thats a Nice Addition to your collection.

Also something I neglected for far too long.
With doing everything for my HT and buying Blu-Rays,I forgot how much I Loved Music.
So now I hope to make up for that.

And,you are 100% correct Scooby.
The members here are like no where else.
I wouldn't trade this site and its members for anywhere else on the web.

And,with your system,I know that Metallica will Sound Amazing!

We even have a few regular AVS guys who hang out here more now because of the way we all get along and help to contribute to each other as well.

Good evening all,

This site is great. I've read a few AVS threads in the past; not for me. No sense of community. Everyone just trying to one up everybody else, or berate them. not a happy place to talk about this business. Thsi plale is nice, most of the mebers, not just the ones on these HT threads are very helpful, and I see some like Beta Man and Sussudio are mods now. Great! Those 2 helped me a lot when i first joined a year+ ago.

Mike,

Been a long time. Glad to see ya again.

Everything here is great, Temperature is getting up, great for biking and being outside. Sunny, warm and no rain. Dog and I are getting lots of exercise. And last check I had lost the 10lbs that I put on in San Diego. But I am holding of weighing until March 17th, hoping to get a nice surprise and see the scale move a bit more, rather than the 1 lb at a time stuff.

This week, I started with the dumbbells, hopping to step it up and get a bit more weight lose. The change of eating habits for the first 2 weeks did their trick. Now, time to go into 2nd gear. The next 10 will be a trick. I hope I got a 3rd.

That is some very bad stuff, hope he's feeling better. I got strep throat about five years ago and held off going to the Dr. dumbest thing I ever did. Now if I get a sore throat and my fever spikes ONE degree I make a run to the Dr.

Sounds like things are really getting ready to get interesting with all your upgrades. Also, the legs I used on my stand came from Lowes, read in an earlier post you might be making a rack of some kind. They have 3-4 different heights and shelf kits pre-drilled, so they are a breeze to assemble. Pretty sturdy also. I can check on the brand name/SKU if you need it.

Glad to hear that things are going well for you Travis,my Friend.
Also nice to know that someone is having a chance to experience better weather.
But glad to know it gives you and the dog a chance to go running and biking.

And,allow me to say Congratulations on losing the 10 pounds you put on Back in the States.
But that is something I dont blame you for.

I know whenever I have had long stays in the Hospital(4,5,6 weeks at a time)The first few days out of there I would go crazy with having my Dad pick-up Take out from every place I Love to eat at.

So in North Carolina that equated to a Lot of Pork BBQ and BBQ Chicken(Which if the weather forecast stays at 60's and Sunny this weekend)I will have something cooking on the Grill Both days.
Steak one day,and BBQ Chicken the next would be Perfectly fine.

In fact tonight I will do Beef Tips and Rice.Though I will take a short-cut and use the Heinz Brown Gravy in the Jar.
But a Great Sized Sirloin Tip Roast cut into equal sized cubes(with what very little fat a Sirloin Tip roast has is trimed away)

Then throw those in the Slow Cooker(Crock Pot)With the 2 to 3 Jars of Gravy for about 6 Hours. And then prepare the rice.

And cubeing a Sirloin Tip Roast and then Marinating the cubes for as close to 24 hours as possible,in different marinades(Jack Daniels Mesquite is my Favorite, followed by Stubbs Beef Marinade, and Moore's Beef Marinade)

Then use the cubes the next day on the grill using wooden skewers and you have Awesome Kabobs.

But enough talk about food.
Congratulations on the 10 Pounds Buddy.

I hope when St Patricks Day rolls around you get on the scale and have a Very Pleasant Reading.
And dont worry. We will do our part to keep you motivated and make sure you reach that Weight Goal you are aiming for.

But,I know I have said it several times, but I still want you to know I am Very Greatful to you for the Awesome SACD's.
Both Discs(Pink Floyd and Diana Krall) are both artists,I can put in the player and just enjoy, laid back, with my eyes closed.

Ultimate Relaxation.

HEy Travis! It has been a long time. I have just been lurking for awhile. Its good to hear that things are going well for you and that the weather is great over there. Glad to hear that you are losing those "American" pounds you put on while you were here . You go on a diet?

Hey Rob,my Friend.
Good to hear from you Buddy.

I hope you are enjoying today.

And,you can believe when it comes to wood working and cabinetry information and advice,I need. You would e the Very First Person I would contact.

Today,I am going to go to Lowes Home Improvement and look into this modular Rack and shelving kits they have.
If they still have the pieces I want(since they are discontinuing the line)

I can add two shelves to my current short AV Rack.
Which would hold the Amp and SACD Player,I need to place in there now.

Then also the room for two more components(which will be the new amps I am adding)
One around the last week of this month and the other around the last week of April.

Then,I can start looking for a Dedicated Audio Rack(like the VTI Brand)and run one in the middle about Four to Five shelves high and a Rack on each side one to two shelves high.
That would help complete the look I am after.

But now, as I add Gear first(I want to spend as little as possible on the stand). Then in a few months,I can spend money on the Rack(s).

But Thanks Sincerely for the Kind Words and Wishes Rob.
They are Very Much Appreciated.

And when I start the transformation of turning my closet into a Media Center/Collectible Display, you may be getting some questions from me,for some ideas I have.

But,I wont be able to start work on that ,for a few more weeks.
As money was spent in a different area.

But,Please, anytime you want to drop in,You are Always Welcomed Here. As Well As In Almost Any of Our Threads Here.
Just feel at Home,my Friend.
