I love reserved seating, and besides the huge releases on opening night, I haven't had an issue with seeing movies with my moviepass. And heck, my mom and Fiance both have a moviepass and if we all want to go we usually walk up together to the kiosks. We buy our tickets and always sit by each other no problem. And if it is a more popular movie we usually go early, buy our tickets, then catch dinner next door before going to the movie. It has been super easy.

While advanced ticketing would be great, it is more of a convenience thing then actually being able to see a movie. I had advanced ticketing for a week before they removed it and it was great, it isn't a deal breaker at this price.

I use the same system with my family/friends that have MoviePass!

Where do you live that you can get decent seats by only going early enough to grab a bite to eat before?

With popular movies, I would need to buy tickets 2 weeks in advance to get good seats unless we're talking about a 10:30 pm showing or something.

Went 3 for 3 this weekend.

Actually went to 4 movies, paid out of pocket for one. Just realized that our Alamo tickets are only $5.75 before 11:00am. So I went to a 10:45am showing, and still had MoviePass for another movie later that night.

Friday: American Animals
Saturday: Ocean's 8
Sunday AM: First Reformed
Sunday PM: Hotel Artemis

Enjoyed all 4 films, to varying degrees.

Again if we are talking Star War opening night or Avengers... I haven't had issues. I was shoked that I did get Deadpool 2 on opening night.

Other than that we just go. We also check before we go to the theater if there are a bunch of seats. For the most part people don't buy tickets days in advance, sometimes the morning of, but if you are 2-3 hours before it is fine.

Denver party in here.

I cannot get any tickets except for the very front row unless I buy them multiple days in advance. Even non-huge Blockbuster films get filled up and sold out by the early morning of the day of.

I doubt I could use MP to get decent seats for a blockbuster film, which is why I never use this opening weekend for anything big.

You talking about Alamo, because I agree. But I live by an AMC and just go there, never have an issues with tickets.

How's Denver doing these days? When I was a kid, I lived in Aurora...and that area was getting pretty scary! How is it now?

I live much much closer to other theaters, but I still drive out of the way for Alamo. I've had issues with disruptive people and/or projection issues at every single AMC theater I've ever been to. Just not worth it.

I agree, but I never said they were the same. I was referring to the pain of not being able to prebook seats in assigned seating theaters when I’m going in groups. Happens a lot this time of year.

I'm in the Springs, what I did for Avengers/Deadpool opening night showings is I got the Cinemark Movie Club and bought my tickets in advance for those through that since you get a ticket per month and discounted slightly for XD, etc. plus 15% off on Concessions. It's paid for itself in concessions already lol.

I knew I was seeing those more than once with different groups so 2nd time around I used my MP.
But I also don't have Alamo here (wish we did) and only go to Cinemark so that was the best play with the blockbuster movies (especially when going with other people)

Sorry as I’m sure this has been asked before, but I went to see Hereditary tonight and closed the app without submitting a picture of my ticket, how can I go back and add it?

when you reopen the app should appear again there to upload the ticket photo.
Happened to me on Friday.

If it doesn't pop up after exiting out of app completely and re-logging in then
just wait til seeing a movie tuesday if you are going and it should pop up then to take a picture of previous ticket. (make sure you have previous ticket with you to take picture of lol)

the app is super glitchy though with this upload picture crap. You'd figure having done this nonsense twice before they'd have perfected it by now.

Its glitchy mainly on Android, most iPhone users don't have issues with picture submissions.

Are you picky about your seating, or do you not mind being way off to the side or up front?

I mean, I can get seats the way you talk about, but they'd be awful IMO.
