Why would they need to team up ? Third Window already released the titles in the UK, save for Vital.
Arrow are most likely going to use the same existing masters, and will pretty much only add some extras. If you want those movies and are in the UK : simply buy the TWF releases, which are already very good.

I already have them thanks. I was merely commenting on the fact that, as their distributor, it wouldn't be hard to do if it weren't for the Vital situation. The cynic in me thinks they'd shift a damn sight more copies under the Arrow banner than TWF. Guess we'll never know.

Sure, I already have some, and I'll get the rest as well, but I'd also like to have those Arrow extras and Vital in a nice package. I'll try to import this if I find a good deal, although I suspect that it will sell out before I'm able to afford it.

I've read enough praise for it that I'll be blind buying it the next time it's on sale. I'd never heard of it prior to Arrow's announcement of it.

One question. Sorry if its already been discussed. Regarding the reissue of the Rohmer box, is the reasoning behind renaming it that Arrow will possibly release another Rohmer box? Maybe the seasons or moral tales?

The other films were advertised as LE exclusives.

Moral tales would be fantastic, just hope these boxsets sell enough for them to consider another.

On the Indicator Facebook Fan Group Ben Stoddart (of the BFI) has stated that Cronenberg's Crash has been licenced for the UK, and he'd 'bet his house it's to Arrow'. He previously speculated it was either Criterion or Arrow, but he seems now to be leaning to Arrow. Apparently, it's part of a larger package of Jeremy Thomas produced titles, which - from what I can gather - should also include the likes of The Last Emperor, Naked Lunch, Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, The Dreamers, and The Sheltering Sky, among numerous others. It looks like StudioCanal have lost the rights to these.

This will give you a better idea of the possible titles, though I think some of them may still be with the likes of ITV. If Kitano's Brother isn't tied up with Film4, that would be right up Arrow's street.

If true, this would certainly provide some great titles for the Academy line in particular. I've been waiting for a definitive release of The Last Emperor for yonks.

A comment on another post in the group (not from Stoddart) suggests the BFI have A Canterbury Tale (Powell and Pressburger)

I don't see what evidence they have for that; it's an ITV title. Even if the BFI were to restore it, it would be in line with, for example, the Hitchcock silents.

If those don't push Arrow to release UHD....

Though I'm not convinced it is necessarily part of that package. Studio Canal never released Crash in the UK and one wouldn't imagine that they would have left it on the shelf if they did have the rights.

Good point. I suppose it's possible they may be offering Crash as part of the package for the first time, now that they're seemingly all back with Jeremy Thomas' company.

Of the films via the link you provided, the only one Arrow have released is Terry Gilliam's Tideland.

Assuming that they don't get stuck with the "use the Storaro cropped version or don't release it at all" ultimatum that Criterion was stuck with.

I think The Last Emperor was restored in 4K (and converted to 3D) in its original aspect ratio, so Storaro may have given up his struggle (see also The Bird with the Crystal Plumage).

Besides Last Emperor ones that stand out as potential releases to me.

13 Assassins - Seems right up Arrows street and I think could do with a bit of a rediscovery, could include the longer Japanese cut which hasn't had a UK release as far as I'm aware.

Sexy Beast - Again very much Arrow material, not sure about extras(Denis Lavant Flake advert? ) but I'm guessing a few interviews with those involved at least plus Glazers next film doesn't seem too far off.

The Dreamers - Obvious reasons....

Given that Spirit are putting out a re-issue of Sexy Beast, it's surely safe to say that one is staying with Film4. Might well be that 13 Assassins isn't part of the package either.
