Went to few stores today and nobody has it.

Whats funny is that I was at Best Buy and asked someone in the gaming department "do you guys have God of War Collection for PS3?" and he is like "ummmm God of War isn't out til March", i was like "i know that, but do you have the God of War Collection?, it has God of War and God of War 2, and was suppose to be released today".

Then he is like "ummmmm never heard of that", i was like "nevermind".

Today at the Toys R Us by my job, all the non-working local mommys were lined up and asking the clerk about "this God of waarrrrrrrrr!?!?" game??

Gotta love the Christmas pre-game crowd. The idea is to mob the stores BEFORE black friday and then not be bothered anymore. They are silly.

Ok now I'm more confused. Gamestop sent me an email that my game shipped on midnight aqnd should arrive today or tommorow but when I go to my status, it still says "backordered"

Sometimes employees at non-primary gaming stores do not know certains games exist unless its currently on their shelves or in the back room.

I'll call my local Gamestop and ask if they have GoW Collections and if they say "We'll get it in tommorow, then I'll assume all gamestops with do this

EDIT: They said they will get it in tomorrow. So Hopefully, my game will be here on the 18th or 19th

thats the experience i usually have at best buy, there is one guy at one of the stores in my area that actually knows about things that you would expect someone that works in the video games section to know, if i ever am looking for something i cant find myself, i try to find him, so i dont have to deal with the "games associate" who wants to know if i want uncharted 2 for 360 or ps3?

imo, the 360 version of U2 is a little better than the PS3

I bet they didn't expect this kind of response for the remastered GOW collection...Gamestop should at least let their pre-order customers know that they won't be able to get their game today...I'd be a lil pissed off if I didn't have so many other gamez occupying my time already...Thats pretty funny to see parents today still with no clue what kind of game GOW is...A simple internet search or just looking at the back of the box/rating system should let them know it's not a kiddy game...G-luck to all who still searching for GOW...

I ordered this on September 13th from Amazon, so one would assume if they did receive any copies today, I'd get one sent to me today and not tomorrow.

I'd want to slap those parents. The same way I wanted to slap the parents who brought their 5 y/o kid to SAW VI. Furthermore, if retailers are being told by a customer that they're buying it for young children, they need to (at the very LEAST) bring attention to the rating.

I was in a GameCrazy a few weeks ago, and this 10 y/o kid was talking to me about how his mom lets him play M-rated games. When she heard him, she went beet-red... and then proceeded to buy him Halo 3: ODST.

That said, I heard a rumor (FWIW) about a month ago that SCEA didn't anticipate as much demand as they got for the GoW Collection, and underordered on Blu-ray production. As such, they were scrambling in recent weeks to get more made, which might explain the 2-3 day lag some retailers are reporting. My local GameStop has the release date as 11/20.
