You are most welcome. I have a copy myself that I bought earlier in the year (at twice the price) It's a nice 'book-like' package and although the quality of the Quatermass disc suffers a bit from cramming 'X-The Unknown' plus 'Quatermass 2' on the same BD disc, the Quality of all the other discs are superb, and it's packed with featurettes like 'Hammer Glamour' and numerous extras plus 'The World of Hammer' double DVD. Great bargain at this sale price.

Think I'll order that Aussie set too. I also only own Dracula POD so it's a pretty good grab considering most of the movies in that set on their own got for £15-20 here in the UK and there is about 5 of them I was planning on buying so easy decision.

Just hope customs keep their mits off it.

I've just received an email from JB Hi-Fi to say that they have posted my box set. Their website says they are still awaiting stock, but don't let that put you off - they shipped my copy in five working days (they probably order it from the supplier rather than stock it themselves).

I took a chance and ordered it.

I know that there's issues with interlaced transfers and some of the titles in this set being a bit on the duff side (I have been a Hammer fan for most of my life, but I know that they didn't pull out a plum every time), but for at this price, you would be silly not to get it.

Cheers for that!

The prices the individual titles are going for in the UK are a testament to how good a deal this really is. You're paying less than £2.40 for each film.

From the same site there are also price reductions on a few Hammer titles such as 'Hound of the Baskervilles' and 'Captain Kronos' around $13 Australian.

It's a great shame JBHiFi no longer offer combined postage.

Received my box set from JBHiFi today, so it only took about a week from dispatch. Very nice too. Bit bigger than I anticipated.

Can we expect a good transfer from Final Cut? Never heard of them.

I'm not familiar with this title but sure love the cover art!

I'll blind buy unless PQ reviews are negative.

I hope it looks good, it's a great movie, & it's the first X certificate film I ever saw, aged 13 at the end of 1963 (& the first Hammer). As I remember, the transfer in the Universal Hammer box set looks very nice.

I think I'll wait for a review before I order anything from Final Cut. The Evil of Frankenstein and Brides of Dracula look good. The Phantom of the Opera looks acceptable. But Captain Clegg is horrible with its sped up 1080i/50hz. I'll never pre-order their releases again.

Yeah, what's up with that? Have sent them a mail asking about it. I would have ordered both Kronos and Baskervilles from them if not for this stupid policy, especially when they say they will ship multiple items together.
In India, duties are charged on the sum of item price + shipping. With a piddling threshold of about 20GBP worth after which they can charge up to 45% of the total value, this would potentially land me with a nasty charge. Right now I just ordered Kronos, gonna see how they work out in terms of shipping and reliability.

It's a fun period vampire flick. I have it on DVD.
