Avengers 26th April 2012
IM3 27th April 2013 (previews from 25th) - i still have my stubs for Avengers 26th and IM3 25th 00:01am showing )

Pretty sure Thor was April 2011 too

though again, depends on location

Captain America: The First Avenger was a July release wasnt it.... (I remember being spoilt with it coming out so close after Thors release just months earlier)

Cant recall IM1 or IM2 release dates so I'll just agree with you

Captain America: The First Avengers was indeed a July release. They've propably moved it to April to give Guardians of the Galaxy some breathing room in August. Their usual May spot wouldn't have been wise since Captain America doesn't have the legs like Iron Man yet to compete with a Spider-Man film, which took the late April/early May release slot Marvel usually has.

Btw IM1&2 had almost the same release schedules as the third film and The Avengers, give or take a day or two.

Damages and Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close has reportedly joined the cast of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.

Deadline reports that Close "is playing a leadership role in Nova Corp, the intergalactic space patrol. ... Close’s role would be the closest thing to the one that Samuel L. Jackson plays in Marvel’s Avengers movie."

This could be the same role that Alan Rickman, Ken Watanabe and Hugh Laurie were recently linked with.

Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1, 2014.

It would be nice to watch. I love the whole 'mother hen' type roles

M is probably my favourite.

Think Marvel could definitely have good fun with that role, having a 'female Nick Fury' sort of thing.

Wow, 'Guardians' is starting to look like it may have the most interesting and diverse class in the Marvel universe. It sounds like Hugh Laurie is still circling another Nova Corps role, on top of who has already been cast. I seriously can't wait for this movie.

With Robert Redford in Winter Soldier and Glenn Close in this, I eagerly await the next actor who I would have never thought would be in a comic book movie to be cast in a Marvel movie. They are knocking it out of the park with their casting lately. I grow more and more excited for this movie by the minute.

Hugh Laurie is eyeing a role in this? Man, I would jump for joy if he was cast. I love Hugh Laurie.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Adds Karen Gillan as Lead Female Villain
Quote:

Doctor Who fans are about to get a Marvel crossover. No, the good Doctor isn’t stepping in for a role, but his companion is. Karen Gillan has recently been cast in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy in an unnamed role as the film’s lead female villain. She’ll join Lee Pace and Michael Rooker on the evil side of the line, while Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and David Bautista will be the film’s heroic leads. The odd assortment of actors also includes the recently-added Glenn Close and John C. Reilly, though when the lead characters feature a walking tree and a talking raccoon, “odd” becomes a relative term. Production on Guardians of the Galaxy will begin in the next few months in London and the film opens on August 1, 2014. News of Gillan’s casting comes via Heat Vision.

The Girl Who Waited....awesome.

And "odd" is definitely the word for this cast.
