One I don't even care that Human torch is black. What is irritating is that how are they aren't going to be brother and sister? If that is even going to be in the movie. They should have made the actress that played Sue black as well so we can see the bother and sister connection.

I'm pretty sure they aren't adopted. And I would gladly sit with down you to engage in serious discussion. But too avoid us both being suspended I'm going to drop it. And talk about the movie and let bygones be bygones.

Fair enough. It's refreshing to see levelheadedness prevail.

While I am a fan of the 4 actors(actress) involved, Fox has no business making a Fantastic Four reboot simple so they don't lose the rights back to Marvel. (Disney) We all know what happened the last time Fox made a super hero just to make a super hero movie (hello X-Men Last Stand & Rise of the Silver Surfer) Fox always seems to rush things or go off half-cocked and it never turns out good. Yeah, I'm excited for Days of Future Past but considering we're only getting that because Marvel/Disney is kicking everyone's ass on the playground isn't exactly making the fans feel the love. So regardless of anything else involved with the casting of Fantastic Four reboot, the fact of the matter is Fox cannot be trusted with Super Heroes anymore (yes that includes Wolverine, Fox is just lucky that Jackman is Wolverine as any other actor would have been eaten alive by critics and fans. Jackman's casting is equal to Downey Jr as Iron Man. The movie may be eh or bad but they can rise above that and make a bad movie worth watching.)

Now I have two opinions on the movie itself and the casting (race age and all that)

[Show spoiler]In regards to the race issue though, yes it is dumb to have a black johnny storm and a white Sue Storm(Kate Mara btw everyone is naturally redheaded, she only recently became blond) being as they are brother and sister. And yes, the adoption or "different parents" angles are major cop outs and are dumb as well. I personally would have been ok with both being black, fits story...no explanation. Or Michael B. Jordan being Ben Grimm (honestly Michael B. Jordan would make a far superior Ben Grimm than Jamie Bell). But with the way the cast is being said to be now, No....just No, as I said before Fox can't really be trusted with Super Heroes anymore and they sure as hell can't be trusted with putting their own spin on origins and comic plotpoints (all I have to say in my defense there is Jean Grey/Faux Phoenix). As for the ages of the 4, no they are not that young but they all LOOK way younger than they are and while that may work for Gossip Girl or GLEE, The Fantastic Four it does not. Reed Richards has a mentor/patriarch mentality that is significant to the dynamic of the group because he is in fact older than them all but Ben Grimm. How can one expect Reed Richards to demand respect from Johnny Storm that looks like he could be older than he is. Sense not this makes.

#2 Ultimate Fantastic Four by Mark Millar (who shocker happens to be the new Marvel consultant for Fox)

[Show spoiler]Who gives a crap because this isn't the Fantastic Four, it's Millar; who had 10 years with Marvel basically writing his own glorified fan fiction of some of the most important characters Stan Lee & Jack Kirby created finally getting his vision of what the Fantastic Four should be on the big screen. Here's hoping Teller, Bell, Jordan, and Mara can overcome what is sure to be a highly scrutinized film especially with it coming out after Avengers 2. I sadly for them, wouldn't count on it......but I will be rooting for them in particularly (meaning movie can suck but their performances be awesome, for those wondering what I mean)
