well the good news no so called tech level 2 person is going to call me today asking want to remote control computer since like i said when i was chatting with microsoft friday night in chat i assumed a level 2 person chatted with me with no remote control only asked email address try to do a fix it tool and nothing got fixed

basically the balls is in outlook engineering themself will prob be fixed 2-3 days This is a known issue with Outlook Mail. You're not just the only one having this problem.

The issue is not happening to all Microsoft accounts and there are multiple issues happening after Migration and they are currently working on a permanent fix to avoid this from happening again on another account that is going to migrate.

and then at the end after i asked microsoft chat what will happen if outlook engineer team cannot get problem fixed
I believe that if by the end of the week it is still not fix, I suggest that you will just stop the forwarding of the emails.

i said that's not good

I understand that how it is important for you to forward your emails to another account however I doubt that the issue will not be fixed because Microsoft account users will be affected,

i might cry if i have to stop forward my hotmail account to gmail meh <-my hotmail has been forward to gmail since oct 2010 btw

Microsoft and Google despise each other. It wouldn't surprise me if this was purposely done to Outlook and it takes a few weeks to fix things.

I am glad I never opened up a hotmail account.

i'm little tired right now chatting all night perhaps end of the week i should turn on team viewer see if brother fixed it on a side note something fishy i just open up outlook instead of seeing 30 deleted items<-which isn't right number of deleted items btw every since last sat it now saids 2 deleted items which is still wrong count of number deleted items that i have

perhaps i also need to have microsoft chat tell that to engineer outlook people meh

so do you guys actually believe that the so called outlook engineering folks will fixed this issue within 2-3 days at least they will not call me only email btw if fixed or not also they will attempt to correct the number of deleted items that is shown not a wrong number display and inside there are more deleted mails btw

or do you think that they screwed me so over being after migrated into new outlook aka outlook mail last sat afternoon and there's no fixed and i will have to stop foward my hotmail account to gmail

I agree with Clark. I think they'll fix the issue. Sounds like they've had a lot of trouble with their 'migration' process and there's a number of issues the engineering team now needs to look into and resolve.

well i hope they can as well as fixed when i type in hotmail signed in goes into outlook mail seeing deleted items 2<-which in reality i have 53 items in deleted items i don't know why it just show wrong count number and even if i deleted an item without open still saids 2 deleted items meh

Seems like they should have done a lot more testing before forcing this on people. One bug/issue is bad enough.

strange thing my mom hotmail account got migrated before i did last month her deleted items count are good but doesn't forward to hotmail to gmail like me

however they made her have to change all passwords hotmail skype etc etc since couldn't log in

i do recall when i went into new outlook last sat afternoon i quickly close window thinking something not right and log back in<-not sure that what caused issue or what now at that point in time and all way up to this past friday it showed count number 30<-wrong and yesterday afternoon it changed to 30-2<-wrong i don't know what heck is going on meh

well despite my account is still working apon in chat awhile ago it was documented but never did to get an email all day yesterday from a outlook engineer apprently tues around 4<-3:00 afternoon i will get a call from somebody in outlook engineer department good look trying to understand what i'm saying since i wanted to email but they gotta call me 1st at least its not a dumb level 2 tech guy meh they will email me afterwards and going to do a case of some sort as well

i have been reading up google forms about a topic gmail couldn't verify doman name actually this message and not a spammer and i think why i'm seeing is red question mark suddenly isn't due to be new outlook mail but its something new that gmail has decided to do hence reason why never saw it before basically it looks like i will have to suffer red question mark but i still don't like that some email's go straight to my gmail spam folder

as far some email's not going into inbox going to spam

somebody said in another form I believe I found another forum post that relates to this problem. Specifically, it relates to forwarding email from hotmail which causes gmail to read forwarded mail as coming from the hotmail servers and not the original sender which causes a failure to pass authentication. This makes some sense, but is a pita to deal with. Only solutions appear to be to create a filter for those emails to specify never send to spam or to not use hotmail forwarding and switch everything to gmail. Unfortunately, the filter would need to be applied to every single individual email and not a blanket coverage for all hotmail forwarded email.

Based on the other post I found and my own experience, the only option that may work is #3 to create a filter. I haven't tried it yet, but I have tried the mark Not Spam button which didn't work and the add to contacts, which didn't appear to work either. I believe the add to contacts and mark Not Spam wouldn't work since the reason they are failing (or at least the one I checked) is due to the failed authentication.


based on that i assumed i have to go back and put these same emails back to never spam with a filter if that's the case good god it seems gmail issue after all red question mark<-something new on gmail end that cannot be stop and some email's going into spam message instead inbox have to make a filter saying not to spam

or i can just stop forward my hotmail to gmail alltogether

i was just asking somebody google forms I said do you think there's something for a person with hotmail being forward to gmail that outlook engineer folks have to fixed on their side to make some way Gmail can properly authenticate the forwarded emails again or nothing matter outlook team it something to do with gmail and its a big on email's being forward to hotmail to gmail and gmail is suddenly deny's authenticate of a forward mail from hotmail with red question mark and the so called bug on here will never get fixed thus have to suffer when open an email from outlook mail with hotmail being forward to gmail red question mark and some email's not going into inbox but rather going to gmail spam have to made a filter so not spam again red question mark gmail can't verify sender company email not a spammer with mailed by hotmail.com and signed by whatever company email coming from are missing when look into gmail details

because i just don't know i can handle this anymore i thought this was all due to be migrated into new outlook mail last sat on 10th i started forward my hotmail to gmail oct 2010 when i had old hotmail/outlook design for longest time up to sept 9th last day of this year i have never had a problem email being forward to my gmail hotmail account open red question mark

I don't think the issue lies with Outlook/Hotmail or any other mail provider, because even emails sent from gmail to gmail are flagged as suspicious and untrusted. And I'm not talking about emails from custom domains, I'm talking about personal gmail accounts with an @gmail.com domain. This is a clear indication that something is not right, as gmail is 100% responsible for sending and delivering these emails, so at no stage of the process should they get flagged as untrusted.

so if gmail is never going to fixed this problem i guess its high time to stop forward my hotmail to gmail then

a follow up what the guy told me google forms after i said do you think gmail will fixed this his response As I said, I have raised it with the support team. I don't know how well/in depth they will look into it. I don't have the best experience with their support team. Even if they acknowledge the bug, it will have to travel from a single support person up to the chain to the development team/management to decide priority/urgency etc.

But, I imagine that a lot of people are going to start to notice this now, and especially since gmail to gmail communication is being flagged as well, I imagine people internally at Google will notice as well, and probably raise the issue with the appropriate teams.

It's affecting all of my business accounts, and they were all working fine up until last week, so I can't imagine it going unnoticed for long.

my response was yeah i'm looking at my gmail trash history it seems that was a working 2:22 am on sept 10th when i got email from store-news@amazon.com with mailed by hotmail.com and signed by amazon.com i believe i was still using old hotmail/outlook design that morning <-which now instead goes straight to my gmail spam folder instead gmail inbox with red question mark

and that afternoon around 12:19 got a messages from fye@messages.fye.com is when i 1st started to see red question mark inbox with signed by hotmail.com and mailed by fye.com missing i thought perhaps this was just a glitch but right after that every day red question mark and i believe i didn't signed into hotmail migrated into new outlook mail until 2 or 4 in afternoon on sat sept 10th btw

so i guess i'm going to have to try to be cool with this calm down little bit with gmail rest of this month in hopes they will fixed this never ending red question mark gmail can't verify senders email not a spammer hotmail being forward to meh

Gmail's spam filter is very weird, it's marked legitimate emails I've received before on a regular basis. I have to occasionally go through the spam folder and rescue a bunch of emails.

You probably should disconnect Gmail from the Hotmail for the time being. Wait a couple of weeks and see then if they work together without a problem.

well its been day 11 as the trooper like i am going to see what happens rest of the week and next week see get fixed unless i get to my boiling point explode due to continue loop of red question marks going into inbox and some email's going into my gmail spam instead of gmail inbox i will not make filter on few email's saying not to spam btw since all i do when read after i put them move from spam to inbox i deleted and stop my hotmail being forward then that will be a different story

if i do this i will still keep looking at the google forms see if there's a update or not btw

then again maybe i will do a a no spam filter to some email's like amazon since its very annoying have to say not to spam next night repeat/ day to some email's for the time being that is meh

I'm still not convinced that Google is to blame. Since the issues started the same time as they migrated you to a new version of Outlook, it seemed likely that something with Outlook was messed up. The Gmail changes seem to have happened much earlier on (sometime in February according to the article you linked to).

And on one of the Google pages it says this:

i should had never tried to chat microsoft last night oh how fired up i am so apprently instead of a outlook engineer person didn't just call me it was a level 2 tech wanted to remote control computer something happen between phone schedule and boy howdy did i chew that level 2 person out and made him hung up the phone with good measures

so now i have to go into chat and reschedule and make sure a outlook engineer person call me instead of a stupid idiot level 2 tech by god the outlook team just want me to suffer it seems like dumb mirgation outlook mail making my email's being forward hotmail to gmail when open red question mark that started ever since last sat afternoon meh
