I already own Sonic Colors on disc and Cowabunga Collection on disc on PS5. But for the latter it will be nice not to have to pull out the disc if I want to just play a level. Plus I will plat it again on PS4 now!

Thanks for sharing! I already own Sonic Colors physically, but will happily redeem it alongside the other two games.

Out of the 3 games, it or TMNT will be what I play first.

I enjoyed Dragon Age. Already got the full 1000 GS on Xbox but kind of wanted to do a second play through and make different choices. Now I can just do it on a PS5 playthrough.

Always been curious about the Armored Core franchise, and I loved the PS2 Prince of Persias.

Good news! For Cowabunga Collection, after adding it to my Library for PS5, I was able to launch the already installed disc version, but without the PS5 disc in, and all my settings and save games were still there and worked. So now I don't need to dig out the disc if I want to just play it for 10 minutes before playing whatever the big game I'm working on is.

And I will get the plat on PS4 once I finish SH2, already downloaded it to my PS4!

Preserving, sadly is not the same as making readily available.

And in fairness, preserving doesn't mean it's even ready to make available. Depending on the title, there could be licensing or rights issues (music, characters, etc). And people typically expect extra features in modern releases of older games (like trophies), which is extra work that I'm assuming they haven't done.

So I wouldn't necessarily take that to mean all those games are just sitting there ready to play. But it certainly would be nice if Sony made more of an effort to make their back catalog available, and they could definitely be better about it if they wanted to; this stuff is mostly, if not completely, done after all. Why not try to generate some extra money from their preservation work, like Warner Archive does for Warner with movies?
