Most likely since a SteelBook in a Best Buy bubble mailer weighs about 6.5 ounces, probably rounded up to 8. The same steelie in a small box (10x7x4) weighs about 11.5 oz. I’m expecting a bubble mailer this time.

This was one of the few Best Buy steelbooks that I preordered for mail delivery, which I did on the first day it went live. Mine still says ‘packaging your item,’ but I am fully confident it will arrive damaged. Don’t care, though, since I never cancelled my overpriced Zavvi preorder, and it arrived a few days ago looking to be in perfect condition (haven’t opened it yet, though).

Crazy how their ordering system works sometimes....

Pre-ordered on the 1st day it got listed - that one, haven't even gotten a shipping notice for yet.

In all the fear mongering about this being so limited, etc I ordered a couple backup copies 2 days ago when it was live for a few minutes in hopes to get 1 good copy.
Those just arrived, in a box, from UPS.
& the original pre-order has zero action on it

He managed to pre-order yesterday but says he hasn't seen any movement on his order yet.

Have any of you who managed to pre-order a copy yesterday (Saturday) seen any movement/shipments of you orders yet or is BB probably waiting until Monday to send these out?

When your friend pre-ordered it was probably for Thursday delivery (which was showing as "standard" delivery). He could have paid more for faster shipping. I am Elite Plus and ordered on Friday evening and the earliest I could have it was "by Thursday" it said as the free shipping option. Remember sometimes pre-orders will ship a few days before release date, and other times, they will ship the day before release date.

I was told by one of the BB managers something that I suspected all along, not sure if it applies to all stores or just some but stores do ship product out such as pre-orders to customers. I suspect stores do have copies of this release, but it may be copies for pre-orders only, hard to say for sure if that is the case, but when shipping is a one day service from the store to customer, the store will ship out to the customer UPS Ground or FedEx Home Delivery. It is possible your friend's copy may not ship until Wednesday, but anything can happen, it may ship sooner.
