I'm getting a little concerned as I still have not received my pre-order. I went back and found this in the e-mail notification, so, I'm relieved.
"Orders will be processed chronology by purchase date. Given the holiday crunch, all pre-orders will be shipped by the first week of January, at the latest."
In the dark predawn hours, David, a young boy played by Jimmy Hunt, is awakened by a loud noise and sees a flying saucer land on the other side of a hill in his backyard. His father, played by Leif Erickson, ventures out to the lot behind their home to take a look and, upon returning, exhibits notably different behavior, responding with anger when David notices a mysterious red mark on the back of his neck. During the hours that follow, as other townspeople are similarly affected and have fallen under the control of malevolent alien visitors, our young protagonist no longer knows whom to trust.
The 1953 science fiction classic, Invaders from Mars, is quick to envelop viewers in haunting dreamlike images, courtesy of the SuperCinecolor process and director William Cameron Menzies, who had previously worked production design duties on Gone with the Wind. Since this screen story is depicted through David's boyhood perspective, the proceedings play out as through conveyed through an unreliable narrator while also evoking a healthy skepticism of authority, especially when our main character is held against his will at a police station. The choir vocals that play during the sequences around the backyard sand pit where the aliens claim their victims has a distinctly ethereal quality that contributes immensely to the eeriness.
An early scene, where David's father strikes the boy, was the most frightening moment to me during my own childhood, because of the notion that my loved ones might suddenly exhibit changes of behavior. I have often wondered if the sequence is meant to symbolize the toll inflicted on children who live with alcoholic parents (an observation enhanced by a reference to this movie in Robert R. McCammon's amazing novel, Boy's Life).
Hillary Brooke, who plays David's mother, is amazing in her ability to portray kindly maternal instincts and true menace in equal measures. Helena Carter, as a local doctor, is a wondrous presence here in a non-romantic role. Be on the lookout for Kathy Wilson as perhaps the most sinister-looking redhead girl in cinema history.
The costumes of the humanoid alien soldiers are somewhat dated, but the appearance of their tentacled mastermind, who dwells in a glass sphere, is one of the most memorable visuals of 1950s sci-fi. Of course, any movie that features characters getting sucked down into sand freaks me out (See the 1956 monster movie, The Mole People, for more such images.).
Invaders from Mars has never received the treatment that it deserves on home video until now. The new restoration on 4K UHD Blu-ray is a revelation.

Not sure if you got the chance to check out the bonus features as of yet: I found it interesting that
[Show spoiler] Mr. Jimmy Hunt talked about how he missed his mark with that scene, came too close, and got smacked for real! I was hoping the story would have gone into a little more detail, maybe if they asked him if he was alright after, etc. Either way, was an interesting anecdote for sure.
Nothing yet for me. Ordered during TCM pre-sale on 4/26 for collector's set with poster. No longer have the confirmation email. Sent email to Ignite and radio silence. I did get their email that they had started shipping. Hoping something ships next week.

Just received my limited Blu-ray copy today. Poster was signed 156/1000. My only complaint was the clear plastic stickers at the top and bottom of the slipcover to keep the disc case from falling out. However, I was able to peel them off without any residue or damage.
My order is #1746 and I placed this order on July 25th and so it appears that we'll still be waiting for our Invaders From Mars discs during the first part of January. However, I feel that this wait will be well worth it ... as long as I get one of those Martian Leader buttons, of course.
So is there any way to get a replacement slipcover without those stickers attached?
I don't know who had the brilliant idea to attach two circular stickers to the top and bottom of the slipcover but in removing them I also removed the artwork ink from the slipcover and as a result damaged it in the process.

You could always shoot them an email. Not sure how responsive they would be for it. Is your slip really lose fitting? Mine falls right off the case itself. I almost dropped it when I first picked it up...Hoping if it is a widespread issue, they can fix it with their next release.
