For me a boxset of I-IV is perfect, they are the ones I need.

I'd want all six. I can't stand V, but VI is right up there with the first four IMHO.

Wait so I II III IV were announced? If true the way they’re holding back V and rocky balboa they’re doing something huge with them especially V I think V is going have theatrical workprint and a Stallone cut and rocky balboa is going to have two cuts.

I don't mind Rocky V and really like Rocky Balboa. It's stupid that these two movies aren't being included in this box set. The last blu-ray box set included all six movies.

If that is the case then they should have just waited until everything was finished and released all six movies at once.

Paramount pulled the same stunt with Star Trek and I waited. Looks like I'll wait again. Maybe we'll get lucky and get poster art slipcovered original releases with these, too.

Yeah I agree but maybe they didn’t want the box set to cost fans a fortune.

Trust me, that ain't it. They're testing the waters and/or going after the double dip.

Maybe they're holding back V and Balboa since new cuts are being worked on, but at the same time they want the first 4 out to tie in with the release of Creed III.

Even if that is the case they most likely will release a box set of all six movies once they are completed. Just like what they did with Star Trek.

They just want us mugs to buy then twice - that’s the strategy.

Happy birthday Paulie!

I’m not sure about buying a 1-4 set, but the individual steels will be fine.

Please please have the director’s cut of 4 have the original intended framing and not the awful framing Stallone did ruining the whole way the film was framed.

Is there anything special about buying the Star Trek boxed set over buying them separately? If there's no additional bonus features, I couldn't care less about when I buy.

I'm thinking they may be wanting to sell V & Balboa as single releases only for a little while, if they do have new cuts.

I read an interesting reason why its only 1-4. WB only owns 1-4 through Turner and MGM owns 5 onwards. Is there any truth behind this?

Warner doesn't own any of those.
