[Show spoiler]With the original prequels, I thought they were going to show a fully geared Darth Vader with mask in part II, and then continue with the classic Vader in Part III, instead of the mere hint we ended up with.
Star Wars 7-9 would be amazing to see. And I totally agree with your expectations for the prequels. I always assumed
[Show spoiler]Attack of the Clones would be the "Empire Strikes Back" of the prequels, ending with Anakin's fall to the dark side, and Episode III being all Vader as we know him. I think the problem is that Episode I started TOO far in the past and had Anakin as a child.

I agree. Episode 1 would've benefited if Anakin had been older during the movie. It would've benefited the story and opened up much more story possibilities. The only installment in the prequel trilogy i really like is Revenge of the Sith, because it had the tone i had expected for the trilogy, and even though it didn't deliver on all fronts, it's the closest they came to the original trilogy.

I would like to see all of the Eragon books made into movies, but I think they would have to remake the first one before any sequels got made. But instead of four total movies (1 for each book), they could combine all for books into a trilogy. After reading the series, I felt that the story (even though it was great) dragged and took too long to get to the ending. The last book I was very excited for
[Show spoiler] but when I read it I was kinda dissapointed on how short / anti-climatic the last battle with Galbatorix was. the whole series was about this epic battle and for me it was

Get Smart sequel with Carell and Hathaway back. Not the greatest film of all time mind you, but man, their chemistry is electric and I was pleasantly surprised by how much of a full on action picture it was. I'd love one more film with that cast...

They were going to at one point, I guess it must have fallen apart.

Agreed. Good points. What could've been...

Yes, the ending left it open for a sequel. The plot of Eragon has a good resemblance to Star Wars: A New Hope in a lot of ways if one looks closely.

I'd like Duncan Jones to do a Moon sequel, if he ever gets around to it (He's saying it would be called Mute, and wouldn't be a direct installment). Same goes with Blomkamp giving us a District 10.

I thought both movies were better than the credit they were given.

Golden Compass was long and suffered from a very slow pace early on in the movie, but I felt that it really started to pick up toward the end, and just started to get interesting when the movie ended.

John Carter suffered mostly from bad promotion. The trailers looked horrible, and it was paned by critics (as these kind of big budget action-sci fi movie often are). This combined with the fact that there were no big names to draw in people result in a low box office, but it really wasn't really that bad of a movie.

Not sure if there's any new info on this one but I would love to see another Cloverfield movie. Especially since it was confirmed that the first monster was only a baby

Conan 2 with the same lead actor.
Hangover 3 in Europe and this time something else, instead of someone's wedding maybe just a vacation or one of the Wolfpack is getting a divorce.
