The masters are being shipped to the replicator and the booklet has been sent to the printer. We are working on a new website that should launch when the disc is available to purchase.

So, I guess this means the last build passed with flying colors, then? I'm stoked for this release!

Okay, last annoying question:

Will this 2nd Edition S&M disc be available for purchase on Amazon? I'm sort of riding on buying it with Amazon gift cards. Thanks!

Yes, Amazon and OPPO are the primary places to order our disc.

There is no actual release date. A soon as the discs come in, they go on sale. Amazon and OPPO will sell worldwide. There are some UK dealers that are planning to order when available.

The replicator received the master(s) on Friday. I don't have any other info at the moment.

So, we should expect this to be ready by the last week of April/first week of May if this is to be released within 4-6 weeks after going to the replicator?

We will have a better idea after we get the check discs. We test those before they press the go button and replicate.

I believe we will receive check discs next week. Hopefully we can sign off before heading to NAB the following week.

We received the Blu-ray check disc today. We received the DVD check disc last week, but that one needs to be redone. So far the Blu-ray looks good.

Stacey, will the new disc have a moving resolution pattern included?

We have two different styles of motion resolution. (sin vs. square wave) We also have three different max speeds 12, 24, and 48 pixels per frame. The motion bounces from 0 ppf up to the max ppf. These are only at 24p.

There are some other motion tests including a stock ticker, moving logo, and a girl on a hammock that are at 24p, 30p, and 60i.

You will find that most of the motion improvement displays have is for 60i content only. The FPD disc that everyone uses is all 60i content. At 24p even black frame insertion does very little to improve motion resolution.
