definitely gotta see Burn After Reading! i know a lot of people find it boring (honestly don't see it at all that way, but to each their own) but i loved it. and it was probably the funniest movie i've seen since The 40 Year-Old Virgin. not that it's really a comedy, but it is a dark comedy. very, very, very highly recommended.

Sounds like you're approaching the film the same way I did. I honestly didn't read anything going in. I only knew the basic premise and that was it.

is this about a 1965 all girls school? that's the only "The Woods" on netflix right now, but nothing in the description has the name 'Coben' in it.

Well, thats a blend, so I guess they just arent your cup of tea. I tend prefer their dark stuff like Blood Simple and Millers crossing over their silly films. Now if Netflix would EVER send A Serious Man, I could see how wrong Gremal was.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think The Dark Knight is great, but it isn't perfect. First of, the first 30-40 Min's are a complete story setting bore fest, what ever you may say, there are better ways to set up your story than this, that and the fact no one talks in a normal tone, they take up such strange speeches. But I do agree with it's excellent, a lot of scenes are very tension built, and the acting for the most part is great. The story is catered to perfection after the first 30 mins and the meaning of the story is very well put and meaningful to the universe.

PQ 9.5/10 (it always annoyed me the dip in quality between the Imax and Normal scenes)

I gave the movie an easy 10! Right next to the Watchmen as the Best super hero movies of my generation. But i do agree with you on the PQ, that was kinda annoying, I do love the fact that they used the imax cams but they should of used them the entire movie.

You cant lie those imax takes have SUPERB Picture Quality!!

HAHAHA sorry bud. I meant the author Harlan Coben. He's a major American author and wrote Tell No One, which was turned into the French film you're about to watch. I was referring to a book of his, which would make an excellent film.

Are am I the only one baffled about how long of a wait there's been for A Serious Man and the fact that Paranormal Activity, last time I checked, STILL has a very long wait?

haha yeah the dvds were stolen only a few days before I moved from Buffalo. It's a crazy story, involving detectives, finger printing, and the disease shingles.


In regards to the Criterion sale, hell yes it's worth the hassle. These prices are ridiculous. If you want one of them, absolutely go get it.

Yeah, I was amazed how long it took me to get it.

A lot of Blu new releases are like that--though the past month or so it's gotten better.

I think I get throttled sometimes for being too slow since I get busy and sometimes won't get around to watching a disc for a couple weeks.

Yeah that's the point, the PQ is awesome in the Imax scenes, but the quality dips when it isn't
