Grab the Via Vision release with both cuts of each film. I would almost guarantee if and when they do 4K's it's only going to be one cut of each film.

Cmon, who doesn't want to watch people standing around an old dusty town just hanging out and occasionally line-dancing? I guess a werewolf shows up for 30 seconds as well but who cares?

(One of the most staggering watches of my life).

I don't care for "fan edits" of films.

But are there any re-edits of Freddys Dead? Like, to make it less goofy or something? Has anyone tried to "salvage" that film? Curious..

I did a fan edit of Freddy's Dead.
Most of them were used with my Lasko, but a couple Dysons showed up, as well as a Honeywell. Trotec and Shark played Tom Arnold and Depp, respectively.
Very few have watched it, but those that did... say it blows.

I once made a fan edit that had the John Doe kid rolling down the hill for 90 minutes, even had a Chris Farley bonus clip after the end credits.

There's a fan edit of Freddy's Dead that incorporates a lot of the cut footage back in (even though it's very poor quality). The really cool thing is the opening credits have been completely redone, featuring a collection of scenes from the previous five films with Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over" and using the "Freddy's Finale: A Nightmare on Elm Street 6" title card.

Huge price mistake for the upcoming Standard set at Gruv.ca. Down to just $55.99 CAD (that's ~$40.48 USD)

https://gruv.ca/products/nightmare-o...e&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Ebay Store too:

Yeah but you get the hideous bilingual Canadian packaging along with it.

I'm all for sequels that take creative risks and do something different than rehashing the original story... but that movie leaves me flabbergasted. The only way I can rationalize its existence is the film being a vanity project for Clive Turner, a crew member on a couple of the previous sequels with no previous acting experience, aside from small roles in those sequels (he also directed this one).

Wikipedia claims the production was a disaster. I have no idea if that is accurate, but I can believe it.

Yeah, you’re right. I suppose spending an extra $80 to get packaging that is exactly the same other than lacking the bilingual script makes a great deal of sense…

Listen, I prefer to have pleasant looking artwork too and being Canadian I’ll be the first to admit that bilingual artwork is a bummer - but this is 60% savings on a title that is $100+

Anybody who would turn down this deal because of a little extra text is a clown.

I'm holding onto my UK steelbook pre-order for now, just in case Gruv doesn't honour this price (given that it must be an error that I'm sure will be promptly corrected)... but man. For this price, I'll happily take the bilingual cover and relinquish the obviously superior steelbook collection. No hesitation.
