I never bothered with the zavvi 3 for 2 deal because £28 for 3 titles didn't seem like a good deal, especially when there were lots of titles you wanted that were not there & you could get cinema paradiso (which I forgot about in the last sale until after checkout) for a fiver
So I'll just wait for the next arrow sale |

It appears so. The same thing happened with Eureka’s LE release of Bliss. Some of these modern horror films sell out really fast, which is surprising but also nice to see such interest in these indie offerings.

Hey all, my experience with Arrow Films to date has been with their UK imports, as what I’ve wanted, thus far, hasn’t been available domestically. Now, I’m working on adding the Fred Zinnemann’s films on blu-ray that I dont’t have, so that means grabbing The Day of the Jackal. From reading the review of the US release, the reviewer stated that it was, for all intents and purposes, the same as the one you got in the UK. The extras appear to be the same. The UK profile shows a booklet, and the US notes memorabilia, etc, which I assume means the booklet.
Are the UK and US releases typically the same, region locking aside? Or, are there occasionally differences to look out for? Thank you! I’m up to nine Vincent Price films from Arrow. All I need now are The Tomb of Ligea, and Tales of Terror, and I have them all. I already have Tales of Terror from Kino Lorber, but my ADD would flair up if I were missing the Arrow release. Maybe there’s a difference in extras. If not, I’ll just have to have both. ☺️ I have to say that I am really enjoying Arrow. They have a customer for life. Their choice of films, their release quality and attention to detail are fantastic. The sheer flexibility offered by boutique labels like Arrow, Eureka and Powerhouse Films make it essential to be region free. There is just no good argument against it. |

I remember that i bought The Day Of The Jackal direct from Arrow a few months after release and was surprised it didn't come with a booklet then (i managed to find a copy in HMV with a booklet a little while after), so your chances of getting a booklet with the UK version are pretty slim i would think. |

The disc contents between the US and UK are identical. The only exception, thus far, is the US disc of "Audition" having a re-encode video presentation.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...8&postcount=17 It's subtle, but this is the only instance, that I'm aware of, Arrow has redone an encode for a dual-territory release. |

Super excited that Arrow is dipping into 4k, of course their initial offerings are super safe sure to sell big, let's hope some not quite as big but still sure to sell loads stuff is on the horizon.
Bird with the Crystal Plumage and Deep Red from Argento on UHD with the encode by Mr Mackenzie are dream releases, they already have the 4k scans done so I would expect those to bow sooner rather than later. |
