Testing with a meter I'm getting the bass from the sub's across the listening area with no more of a 1 1/2 decibel variation.

That's was one of things I talked to Tom about, that I wanted just 1 of the dual driver Psa subs in the center and if he thought it would work there.

My first thought was that the down firing XV30 would be best to try there since the XS30 would have the drivers pointing to the left and right and not have one pointing to the corner and the other in to the room like I believe might be the best way.

I'm still confused though, so I'll try getting back to Tom to see if I should change my order to a XV30 instead.
Hmmm. That's a predicament I wish I had I know Tom will stear you in the right direction.

I just checked their website and it looks like they are listing B stock items on there now which I like to see.
Pricing stays the same(with shipping included). We'll begin shipping all future XS30 orders via truck freight (same way the XV30 ships) tied to a small pallet. Our costs will go up but we're keeping the pricing the same for now.

We'e looking into some boxing changes but there is only so much you can do working with size limitations.

Also, thanks to everyone for the comments regarding out award---very much appreciated.

Absorbing the cost increase for the shipping, at least for now shows what a class company Tom and Jim have started.
I know from many years as a purchasing manager a lot of companies immediately pass those increased costs to the buyer.

Shipping my unit by truck also helps ease my mind about damage to my purchase. I just worry a lot and my first duty when the Ups or FedEx driver pulls up is to check the box for damage even to the point that I have a camera with me. Yes I know that Truck freight sometimes gets damaged also so I'll have my camera on hand.

I predict the recent Award will be one of many to come.

After talking with Tom again and going over where I want to locate it, I agree with Tom and the XS30 is still my choice.
Again this is based on my needs, room, speakers, etc.

Well, let's face it....we dropped the ball. We consulted with a professional shipping logistics firm and fedex....but it's on us. Once in motion all we could do is try to minimize our customer's inconvenience, compensate them fairly for their trouble....and find solution(s) to the issue at hand. All customers have been very understanding and that is much appreciated. Spending a few minutes popping out the broken grill pins(and then waiting a couple weeks for new grills) isn't a *huge* deal...but it is something our customer's shouldn't have had to worry about.

Once they fire up the XS30s I think they'll be VERY happy as it is really one of those..."the whole is more than the sum of the parts" designs.

Thanks again for all the compliments---we will continue to work as hard as possible to earn additional awards and make all these prophecies come true!

No worries at all Crazy, that's what we're here for. I know we've traded a lot of emails recently but if you think of ANY other questions don't hesitate to send them along. I know it has to be a little stressful making a big purchase without being able to see/touch/hear the product for yourself.

CrazyKat, I have a XS-30, I upgraded from the XV-15. I am really enjoying it. Do you have any specific questions I can help out with? I am no technical guru like many others but I am learning. Let me know!

I am far from being a technical guru myself, having only been into my Audio and Video set-up these last 2 1/2 years. When I was working I just didn't take the time and now know that I missed so much.

No questions for you right now, but after I receive my XS30 you might be hearing from me. Thanks for the offer to help.

Crazy

Congratulations on your upgrade.

Sounds good, I am always available. And just for the record, I was completely satisfied with my XV-15, I was within my 30 days when the XS-30 came out and I wanted to future-proof, and figured what the heck, it's only another $300!

Also, as has already been discussed in great detail, PSA is a class act. No used car salesmen over there or I would have been gone the first email exchange!

You'll need to get around to putting up your gallery so we can see your set-up.

I added a few gallery pictures. No dedicated home theater, and a lot of WAF to contend with, not to mention two very curious young children

Are you going to keep your HSU subs and plug the backs? As I don't know how sealed and ported play together if there is a conflict. Waiting always stinks. You just have to kinda forget about it and not think about it. Ignore bluray.com avsforum.com to keep from thinking. ha.. I will say since you have HSU that my XV15 I think plays real well with my dads HSUs I borrowed. Right now I have the XV15, STF-3(both ports opened couldnt find his plug), and MBM12 all going. My Velo is sitting in the other room right now. But I've set all 3 of solo and then did their phase all together and feel I have best output for them. It seems real rock solid. Besides the STF3 clipping on me few times in couple movies. If you set all 3 up together you gotta just CRANK it up on a good LFE/ULF track. Go beyond what you normally do and it will put a grin on your face. Then you'll start watching stuff louder. When I can afford it I'll get another XV15 down the road.

I'll have to see how the XS30 does solo and I expect it to be great, but I will check if I'm losing anything across the listening areas which happens to be across almost the entire opposite wall. I'll keep the HSU's for support if I need one, then see if one of my kids wants to try a HSU, which happens to be a great sub.
