not sure if these enclosures have any resonation .. but would lining the interior with a nice coat of damping spray help any.. if nothing else it would ensure that there are absolutely no leaks anywhere..

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=268-250

yes i know the joints and edges are glued.. just asking .. since i have not seen this done..

For dampening the cabinet, these are better:

I won't be available until midnight tonight. I don't text while I drive. Have fun without me.

Hey! Premier Acoustics deserves a nod with the PA-120.

Just ran the Audyssey on the onkyo 606 to see what kind of settings the mic would pick up, will purchase and SPL meter next but my calibration settings for my speakers all went to the negatives (where before I though ear-wise it should be in the positives). It gave the subwoofer a -5.0 db.

But the settings it came with, it actually definitely put more kick to the subwoofer, testing out QoS, Sin City, Dark Knight Returns and Kung Fu Panda bass scenes.

Your right it didn't happen because my sub is still in transit. But I'm guessing your right also that I would have been like WTF . I've never seen a speaker use anything but a round port, so I assumed their was a reason for only using round ports. Guess I was wrong.

There are three reasons why I don't recommend daisy chaining:
  1. If you are going to properly place two subs in the room, it may be easier to use a Y adapter on the back of the receiver. The best place to place two subwoofers is in the middle of the right and the left walls. Daisy chaining them may be too difficult.
  2. If one sub starts misbehaving, it may affect the performance of the other one.
  3. Many subs do not have the daisy chain option.

Phase control becomes more important when the front speakers and the sub generate bass sound simultaneously. If you set the front speakers to small and let the sub take care of the bass, you will have less problems.

In most cases, if you switch the the positive and negative speaker wires, you will change the phase of the speaker.

yeah i thought about that also...

but wouldnt u reverse the phase the further you move the sub.. because of timing issues.. i know even in a car.. with the sub being very close to u but behind you... in order to have the pressence of the bass up front .. phasing and timing was used.. aswell as a ton of damping (to remove evidence of bass coming from the rear.)

Think that will work? Or is it all designed to make sure we fail and they don't have to extend the warranty to us because we inproperly filled out the registration information...
