Phantom of the Opera (89) is now gone. It's messed up as I was shopping the Shout site's OOP sale this afternoon and had it in my cart, went to look for other stuff, found another title, added it but Phantom was gone and now says "Sold Out" and "as of May 8th, this title is out of print".

Literally missed it by this much. Booooo. Oh well, it's not a favorite so I'll live with the dvd, although I did want to see the doc.

Thankfully I got this from eBay a few weeks back (the corrected version).

How can you tell if it's the corrected version?

How do you check to know if Warner's THE BIG PARADE is out of print?

Or is the fact that its going for close to $100 clear indication enough?

Bummer.

Also curious, don't recall hearing anything about this disc having or needing a corrected version. What is wrong on the uncorrected? How can I tell the difference?

So regarding the Sunshine 'corrected version' our own forum naturally discussed this topic back in 2011, have a look:

https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=5743

Seems the issue boiled down to playback issues affecting certain copies of the release.

There was an issue with the pip in the original pressing. Post # 650 in the films thread helps to identify the corrected copies.

Ouch! I actually had this sitting in my saved-for-later on Amazon for months. Should’ve bought it.

Although a lot of these WB Digibook releases go out of print only to be resurrected as Warner Archive titles. I think that’s likely to happen here, although this is one of the more substantial Digibook releases since it came with a reproduction of the playbill and was 50+ long. So even if the film goes back in print, this edition will always be a collectors item. On EBay there is one person selling their copy for $60.

This might be the most obscure of the WB digibooks, so it's probably the least likely one to transition to WAC. Not saying it won't, just that the chances are less and if it does, it'll be near the back of the line.

Is Problem Child 2 going out of print? It seems like there are hardly any copies left on Amazon & Ebay.

Aren't they MOD? Not sure how that'd factor in the grand scheme of things but I didn't recall those titles being on the fringes of going oop.

WAC is working on finally bringing some more silents to Blu-ray, so it wouldn't surprise me if they issued the standard edition around whenever they're announced.

My local DT never gets the good stuff in. I have Get Carter already but I was drooling over people that snagged it along with Driven. I checked mine a few BD's but mostly DVD's. No Get Carter or Driven unless they were picked clean.

Another title I wanted to get going OOP but I have the DVD, was going to do some spring cleaning but I think I'll put most of my unwatched BD in storage. You never know what's going to go OOP at this point.

I would agree that there's probably no reason for a Fox Feeding Frenzy. But there's nothing wrong with having the information available with which to prioritize purchases, if that's what one wants to do.
I agree there's no reason to hit the panic button but I've found myself going through the Fox catalogue and grabbing titles I hesitated on before it's too late.

That's why I hurried up and bought a copy of Once Upon a Deadpool. I procrastinated on getting it all this time, and then noticed there were barely any copies left, and now you look on Amazon, there are none basically.

Here is a title I wanted to mention a long time ago. The TV show "Haven". You can buy the first 3 seasons together on Blu-Ray for about $15 on Amazon, and you can get both parts of season 5 pretty reasonable, but why is season 4 OOP on Blu-Ray and it also seems you can hardly find any DVD copies of that season either.

Probably because it's an Entertainment One US release. Being Human had the same issue. Season 3 is extremely hard to find compared to the other seasons on blu-ray, and even then, I think all of them are going to go OOP sooner rather than later. And right after I typed that, I went to go check and it looks like season 2 is OOP on blu-ray as well now. Thank god I won an auction on eBay for seasons 1-3 brand new on blu-ray for $35 back in January. From Dusk Till Dawn season 3 (which is already on the list) is another Entertainment One US blu-ray release that went OOP. I've just made sure to add their blu-rays to my list for eventual purchase since it seems a single season can disappear overnight from them

So I guess I have two more OOP titles to report that aren't on the list!

Being Human season 2 and season 3 blu-ray are both OOP

FYI Best Buy still has the Adam West Batman movie for 4.99 which is a Fox title so if you want it you should probably hurry.
