Hastings


I had a very difficult time resisting the urge to buy the Independence Day Ultimate Collector's (Attacker) Edition when it was released, but I'm very happy I was able to, as my patience paid off and I got it brand new for $27.49 thanks to the 50% off (going out of business) discount at Hastings

I also grabbed the Bad Boys 20th Anniversary set for $10 brand new, again thanks to the 50% off discount. Then the other two were used, so they were 70% off, which made them $3.15 (Immortals w/ slipcover) and $2.09 (The Wicker Man)

Oh on top of those I got a few non BD items,

[Show spoiler]particularly 2 graphic novels and 5 comics at 70% off. Although they were all kind of movie/TV related, as the graphic novels were The Avengers prelude "Fury's Big Week" ($2.25) & the Spider-Man 2 Official Movie Adaptation ($0.75). Then the comics were the Supergirl TV show comics #3-4 ($0.89ea - I already got #1, so now I need #2) & the Green Lantern film comics #1-3 ($0.80ea). I'm pretty sure I've purchased more comics during this Hastings going out of business sale than I have in at least 10-15 years, and I've only bought around 25 so far

The total for everything was under $55 after tax, and according to the receipt I saved $124.93

These two were from a different Hastings than the one I went to yesterday. I really love this 50% off discount on new BDs, as these were both sort of double dips.

I got the 3D combo for Age of Extinction for $12.50 brand new, and it even came with the lenticular slipcover in near mint condition Then the Justice League Blu-ray/Graphic Novel was $8.50 (brand new as well), and I already have the Justice League: War Blu-ray/DVD combo (with the slipcover), so I really only bought it for the Graphic Novel. I figured it was more than worth it, considering I can trade/sell the digital codes and possibly the discs since I don't need/want them

I also grabbed two Thor graphic novels for $3.42 with tax, and according to the receipt I spent $26.25 total and saved over $76

Pawn Shop


I still haven't watched a single episode of this show, but I really want to considering everything I've heard about it. So when I found it in like new condition for $8.99 (with the Digital HD code) I couldn't resist. Oh and I just checked the code, and at least the UV portion is valid

The Dollar Tree



I kept seeing people post all the BDs they found at The Dollar Tree, and I couldn't figure out why none of the (multiple) stores I'd been to in my area carried BDs, but I finally found one that did (obviously)

They only had around 20-25 different titles on BD, and I'd never seen any of them, but at $1.09ea with tax I just grabbed every one that looked even remotely interesting

So this weekend I got all of the above for only $87.77 total, and eventually that total will come down a bit, once I sell the digital copies (not to mention my extra copies of Independence Day, Age of Extinction, and Justice League: War)

I love these shows, and every episode I watch just makes me want to watch season 4 of Arrow and season 2 of The Flash on Blu-ray even more! Not to mention every episode of The Flash/Arrow with Snart/Palmer in it just makes me want to watch Legends of Tomorrow ASAP

Which is part of the reason why I watched all the crossed out episodes this weekend, and I am watching (and planning to watch) the two that aren't crossed out now

I remember watching a few episodes and enjoying it so picked this up for $15


I also picked up these that I did not have in my collection yet.


M.I.A. III $10 completes the trilogy Escape and Bullit $6 ea.
