I agree, she should be fired. But she won't be. Like you said, she has friends in high places.

I bet Edsall begged the Smith school to get this guy in. Got at least 1 player who seems to be more excited about the business school than winning me games"

Rumor has it Barkley is coming back for his senior year. I guess he doesn't fancy playing for Miami or Washington. (No offense supersix4)

USC will certainly be a legit national title contender if he does indeed stay in school.

Look on the bright side Redskins fans, you'll probably be there to draft him again next year.

Well he could always pull a John Elway/Eli Manning and refuse to play for them. No offense to supersix4 but I also wouldn't want to go to the worst team in our division.

That beat the giants twice and are helping you

I don't even want Barkley, lots of scouts are saying he might be pulling a Troy Smith about his height and that 6'2 number maybe more like 5'11/ 6'0 and there is only one qb that size I'd want and thats Drew Brees

I don't know man. If I were you, I'd want him on my team. Hell, I'd love for him to be our quarterback. He has all the tools to be very successful at the next level.

I mean he's good, but he's not lived up nearly to the hype he had coming in, and after that first game against OSU I thought he'd be the next Carson Palmer, but I'd say he's a good notch below that. And again the height thing is a big deal

Brees= 6'0
Brady= 6'4
Manning= 6'4
Rodgers=6'2
Stafford=6'2
Rivers= 6'5
Romo= 6'2
Roethlisberger = 6'5
Newton= 6'5
Ryan= 6'4
Flacco=6'6

Don't they measure stuff like height and weight at those draft camp workouts? Something as basic as height shouldn't be hard to uncover.

Romo does have problems with passes batted down at the line from time to time. You forgot Vick, the over-rated Iggles $100 million QB, a #1 overall pick back in the day, he's only 6' also.

He is holding a press conference. It seems like if a guy is going pro he wouldn't do that. Sounds like he may indeed be staying.

Yes, they do measurements at the combine, but until then people lie about their height for most of their lives. I remember my high school coach would add an inch to each players height in the program and for the lineman would often add a couple inches and about 20 pounds. It's the same way in college. Someone that is 5'9" might be listed at 6'0".

At least it's not like baseball where players, mainly those born in the Caribbean and S. America are easily able to lie about their age. I believe the Hernandez bros. lowballed their age by quite a few years. Pujols I'm not sure about either.

Both Reggie Bush and Mark Sanchez held press conferences to announce they were leaving early, so I wouldn't read too much into that. It was at Sanchez's press conference that Pete Carroll said that he thought Sanchez was making a mistake by leaving early and that he needed another year in school.

Sanchez was a great college QB and is now a mediocre NFL QB, wonder if any of this year's top prospects will turn out like that.

Sanchez needed more like 4 more years of college ball.

Pete Thamel of the New York Times reports USC QB Matt Barkley has informed teammates that he's staying in school for the 2012 season.
The official announcement is expected to be made at 4:00 ET. After completing 69.1 percent of his passes at 7.91 YPA and a 39:7 TD-to-INT ratio as a junior, Barkley was said to be competing with Baylor's Robert Griffin III to be the first QB off the board behind Stanford's Andrew Luck. Should he declare for the draft, Oklahoma's Landry Jones is likely to be the third first-round QB.

Sanchez does have more playoff wins over the last 2 years than any QB in the NFL, and they were all on the road.
