Yeah, I'm watching it. It's kind of like watching a video game.

The only time their $5 pizzas ever tasted "legendary" was the nights when I was high as a kite in college and ready to scarf down any food in sight.

You missed an utterly ridiculous game that nearly became the most unbelievable game of football I've ever watched in my life. WMU committed seven turnovers, turned the ball over on downs twice, and lost two possessions to onside kicks -- and still found themselves with the ball and a chance to win it at the end. Damn, so close.

(When was the last time you saw two successful onside kicks in the same game, let alone the same half?
When was the last time you saw two different plays that contained two turnovers within the same game?)

The only thing unimpressive is your head coach.

It's amazing how hard of a time Penn State is having filling their head coach position. I didn't think they would get someone like Dan Mullen or Al Golden, but if Tom Clements is the best they can do, then they really are not drawing much interest AT ALL.

It's a pretty tough gig to follow a legend.

lol he's not a legend in my eyes. Read the OTL stuff about when his job was on the line in the early 00's and how he changed his recruiting standards, and its clear all he cared about was his world with what went on, thats far worse than anything football related. Besides 2 national championships in that amount of time = fail. Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, and maybe even Les Miles have all done more in less time.

That's debatable after the scandal. Not to mention it looks like the the big, bad NCAA is going to be bringing the hammer down on the program.

I'd also be worried coming in as a coach what would happen if more came out during the trial, public backlash combined with already the unspeakable acts could cause so much more damage to the program, and if PSU football loses the only thing the NCAA cares about $$$$ why would they protect it.

And how would you like to be the guy sitting in a kid's living room trying to recruit 4 and 5 star athletes when the mother asks you why her son should attend Penn St.? The entire Penn St. football tradition was built by Paterno and was about winning "the right way." All that tradition was exposed as a massive fraud with this scandal. Without that there's no reason for any parent to want to send there kid to play at Penn St.

It wouldn't really surprise me if the best that program can get is some obscure MAC type of coach. The next Penn St. coach is in an impossible situation. Right now Penn St. is ranked #47 in the 2012 recruiting rankings, and they'll probably keep dropping.

Former NFL head coach Eric Mangini is the latest name to surface as a possible candidate to succeed Joe Paterno as head coach at Penn State.

Mangini has not been contacted directly by Penn State officials, according to Mike Florio of NBCSports.com, but Florio said there is interest.

Florio is not the only one who has reported that interest.

"I know they are very interested in [Mangini] the former NFL coach who has been fired twice in the NFL," sports radio personality Mike Missanelli told a Philadelphia television station.

Mangini, 40, has never been a coach at the collegiate level, and he spent this past season as an NFL analyst for ESPN.

Tony Dungy has turned down the Penn State job, according to Missanelli, who has covered Penn State for years.
