They seem to have a ton of these in stock but hold off until they can charge full price for them. Such a bullshit gimmick.
I was thinking the same thing! Qty super limited the first sale week. Then a few more next week at full price.

A good way to tell will be if a shipping option becomes available once the price goes up to $29.99.

Best Buy

When I arrived at BB after school today, I went to the register and found that my employee friend at best buy had successfully saved me a copy ! I then walked around the store, and discovered that it was completely sold out. There is some great inside art on this steelbook!

P.S: If anybody would like my 'Medal of Honor Warfighter' map pack code, I'd be happy to give it to them. First person to PM me can have it.

It isn't illegal, but if you don't see the moral issue with this...well, I can't say I think too much of your character.

For the record, I'm not salty. I got my one copy, the one I'll need to watch and enjoy.
Sir, really, again, this is a Blu-ray, not a commodity like food and if a store doesn't have a policy limiting it, that is their problem. To judge someone and especially their character, because they are seeking to take advantage of an item that is freely available, and their for the purchase, with no guarantee of actual profit, is extremely harsh. I'm not going to sit there and buy a store out of ten items, I don't think there is enough profit in this to frankly even warrant it, but if someone wants to take that chance, with their own money, and the store allows it, you shouldn't be jumping up and down with torches and pitchforks at them, you should take it up with Best Buy.

I'm sorry, but I am not going to pass moral judgment on someone over purchasing Blu-Ray movies. We all have enough sins on our own to know when we should just disagree with their practice without labeling them the scum of the Earth. For the record, I only got one Steelbook copy, had no desire to get another to sell, so I passed.

You guys are acting like me, personally, bought up everything the stores had. Talking about my character, really? You guys are taking this way too seriously.

Wow just got home and was glad to see I was still able to put in an order for store pickup tomorrow because only 1 within a 50 mile radius has it in stock in my area.

Mine was waiting for me at my door when I got home. Shipped via UPS (expedited shipping) and was sent in one of those flimsy cardboard containers. Luckily it arrived in perfect condition.

It was a good thing I made a last minute decision to order a copy online early this morning. Originally, I was hoping to get to BB and pick the best copy in case of damage, but, by the time I got there around 4:30 pm, my local store had several rows that were completely sold out, so they must have had room for a good 15-20 copies or more (I forget how deep they stack SteelBooks), but thankfully, my online order copy was in pristine condition.

I'm no SteelBook fanatic, but the art on this one is very nice, and since it only cost less than $2 more with tax, and the disc is disappointing in the extras department, I decided it would be more than worth it to have a great Blu-ray of a fantastic film in a snazzy package.

According to the online system, most stores within a day's driving distance of me are sold out or unavailable now.

I dunno what happens at some BBs but once the one in my town sells out, they never get more. The only ones they got are some of the WB re-issues and TDKR one, which every store has extras of. I've never seen any of the older releases come back in stock and I check every week when I go for pick-ups.

Best Buy steelbooks are the most unpredictable thing: some of them have a ton of supply and sit on the shelves forever, some of them disappear before the end of the day...

That's because the amount greatly varied from location to location.

It won't happen with ZDT. The reason why is just like with Dark Knight Rises, both were massively produced. ZDT is a limited run title.

ZD30 is my 42nd BBY exclusive SteelBook™.

I know it's not an option for everyone but getting there on release day when they open is really the only way of assuring that you get one of their exclusives.
