Count me among the impressed.

I was playing as the hunter and I really wanted to love the class but it seems the hunter can't take that much damage. I think in the beta I'll try the others.

Can't wait to see what kind of collectors edition they have cooking.

Just reached the level cap. So disappointed. I WANT MORE! If I didn't already have the game pre-ordered, I'd be doing it now. Had an absolute blast playing it. Can't wait for more! I may skip the beta, don't want to burn myself out yet. Unless it has new content. Then I'll play it. XD

You can create three characters, one for each class

I haven't played it but I highly doubt it will. Halo is still going strong.

If this game isn't being played still by December, it'll have been a massive flop and bungie will shut down. This game will be huge though, and you won't have a problem with that!

Thanks Jud! I'm 2/3 of the way towards getting the ps4, so October /November is a possibility. Hoping for a nice Destiny bundle.

I had a lot of fun playing this Alpha. I was never a big fan of Halo except for the first game. Was never interested in the sequels, even though I've seen some of them. Now, I already knew that I'd be absolutely terrible in the online multiplayer mode (Crucible) of Destiny, and boy, was I right. I felt extremely slow compared to most other peoples' reaction times. I'm just not good at FPS online. BUT, I really enjoyed the story based content of Destiny. I like the customization and upgrading in the game. It seems there are thousands of combinations of how a character can look in the game, with all their relevant perks. I'm looking forward to the Beta in mid July. I'd like to explore more of the world in the single player/co-op mode.

So over the weekend i decided to try out the Alpha beta for destiny.

While i was quite impressed, i was also not quite impressed...

Not sure what the big deal about Destiny is? it is a Futureistic Scifi First person shooter. I never cared for Halo and i see it very similar to it. Yes the Graphics look great, but it is still another darn Shooter. As we do not have enough shooter out already....

I will most likely not pick this up. I see a lot of Halo fans picking this puppy up more than anything.

Destiny is by far one of the most exciting games i've had the pleasure of playing since PS4s launch.

I'm definitely feeling how much potential the game holds in the long term. It's got something for everybody, and like majy, the Alpha left me wanting more to play with, so i'm hoping the Beta will have more crucible modes, a higher cap to maybe 12 or more and possibly nore missions with other weapon loot.

One thing which I think is gonna help people in the crucible is experience and skills from COD-esque games but there is definitely new tactics you have at your disposal given tye type of weapons and abilities the different classes have. In that respect, Destiny holds a very strong longevity for players with how much variety it looks set to offer with those.

I also think although Bungie say you'll be able to solo all the content, this game would be far more efficient in groups because playing solo would require a lot more effort on the part of the individuao and likely mean you have to be several levels higher than your enemies and in that respect, end level content won't be something you can solo easily if at all.

The world of Destiny has the chance to be very, very large, and if Bubgie want to recoup that $500 million rumoured to be invested, they'll be served well by crafting and selling large DLC based content such as new worlds, missions and classes and people would imo gladly buy them if they were of equal quality to the original releases. The worlds in gaming get bigger and bigger; Destiny has the chance to be amongst the biggest but also one of the best.

I'm looking forwards to Planetside 2 in order to compare because I feel these two games will be very similar, but I feel Destiny may pip the overall polish on the experience, whilst Planetside 2 handles mass battlefield warfare with sci-fi elements.

For me, the appeal of Destiny is getting to be a part of a connected "living" universe that is always changing, always evolving, that is presented as an FPS. I like the idea of getting to travel to different planets and explore with friends online and discovering new places, new dangers, new items, etc. While I'm sure many will want to revert to simple PVP game modes, for me it's all about the co-op exploration.
