how big is your room again? forgot and quite frankly dont like snooping in previous postings.

if you plan to purchase the 15 in a medium sized room, it should work well, but primarily, you want to be able to find the proper placement for this subwoofer. the last thing you want is to have nulls in the room, or standing waves.

to answer your question, i dont have the 15.

future plan.. elemental a2-300 with a budget sub.. my current sub is a 10" and falls off rapidly at 44hz.. gonna give it away... but i do plan on duals.. from different manufactures.

Over the weekend I made leg extensions for my Acoustic Audio PSW-12 sub. Whataya think?

What you need to DIY:

Existing subwoofer legs
Four 2 1/2 inch screws
A piece of scrap wood (2x4)

I used a dial saw to punch out round cylinders in the 2x4 then stuck a screw through 'em.

Seems to have made a nice improvement to my ears!

Here are some of my other DIY jobs I've done recently...

Rear surround sound speaker mount for Energy C-50 speaker

Energy Center Speaker Plasma Mount (Energy C-C100 20lbs!)

Sorry for the large size and poor image quality...they're from my cell phone.

Nice

It really is an excellent solution for those of us with Plasma/LCD tv's that don't have a traditional entertainment center that would provide a place for the larger center speaker to sit. Not to mention its a really cheap solution too!!!!

jae, im not sure which room we're working on here. the first one shows a bigger room, that being the primary right?

the second one is er... what?

thats why you're having problems with your current subwoofer, its both quite larger rooms, and im sure you have null points in there because of that.

got it.

bluntly speaking, if you do end up getting the 15 sub, its not going to do much good unless you move around your layout. you're still going to have null points no matter what. vaulted ceiling, a lot of open area, a good amount of space. you can tho consider getting that 12 and use that with your current subwoofer, placing the 12 in between your Right speaker and tv area (close to the chair) then place the other subwoofer closer to the sofa as reinforcement. your not going to get 'punchy' bass, but a better cleaner version of it. hopefully reducing standing waves as well as a better even spatial area.

On my sub, it's almost uncomfortable when the sonic cannons go off. Actually... it is uncomfortable, but in a good way.

hmm,, i think the only way i can even think of doing one next to the couch... without getting my head cut off .. is to build a false table to hide the amp... waf... she hates the sight of wires. .. thinks it is a sign of being ghetto ... regardless of how much they cost or what they look like.. maybe if i buy these and tell her we canplace them on this false table and no one will even know.. http://products.proflowers.com/produ...RID=FGVRE09BPC

i will get the sub12.. and then the a2-300... and i will try both upfront and then move the sub12 around.. will try to hid it first....
