Received Life of Pi today from Amazon, paid a total of $2.85 for it.

The Wolverine 3D is coming later in the week, only paid a total of $2.81 for it too.

Anyone up for the Batman TV series going for $99.99? I'm still passing on it. They were showing the episodes on cartoon network or ytv a few months back but I lost interest quite fast. It was cool during my youth but can't handle it now.

If it's still available when it goes down to around 20 bucks, I might then but I don't collect just for the sake of collecting.

I feel the same way. I also need to trim down my current collection to something more realistic.

I'm guessing you used a gift card...

Don't get me wrong but I do love collecting. However, there is a set line and spending $100 on something I doubt I'll watch, at least in the near future, is a line I won't cross.

Collecting box sets are cool nonetheless but for something I have no interest in viewing, I'll pass until the price hits dirt cheap. And dirt cheap for this set that I'm comfortable with would be less than 30.

1960s BATMAN was a big deal for me. I rushed home from school to watch the re-runs.

Love this set with all of the extras. Great deal for $99 considering it was over $200 before.

No surprisingly, I just got lucky.

Amazon matched a Black Friday deal that Best Buy had incorrectly advertised where they were offering a 'Buy 1 for $5, Get 1 Free" on three blu-rays (The Heat, Life of Pi and The Wolverine 3D). Since it was an error originally and Best Buy didn't offer it, I think the deal was cancelled on Amazon soon after they had put it up.

There was a crazy price-matching from Amazon against the Best Buy misprint.

However, Wolverine 3D has been cheap for many years now.

I feel the same way. It would be great if the trimmed down set were to be around $60, as I think $20 a season is a good price.

I laughed a bit when I saw this and saw the size of your collection compared to mine.

lol I'm feeling the struggle with too many Blu-rays in my 1-bedroom condo. I have no room!
I'm definitely slowing down my purchases to movies I only want to own, rather than just buying for the sake of building my collection. Getting too many blind buys lately that are duds and can't even offload on Kijiji...

Oh gosh, not another.

I'd bet the person in question is valuing quality over quantity.

Geez, ever heard of a joke.

Edit: Plus quality is subjective.

Using lol or smiley faces or whatever to signify a harmless joke behind anonymity online is normally acceptable. Otherwise, not doing so and then later retort saying it's a joke is just an excuse to get away with it. It doesn't fly.

edit: this is trivial arguing and no point lingering it on.

This is not the Robot Edition thou. Which really annoys me cuz I wanted to snag it. But not forking out $100 for an inferior version.
