good question, Im gonna say yes, just to be safe, cause the frequency response will change on the speakers a little, that will readjust audyssey for the changes you made.

While they were at MSRP i doubt many people were considering them (including myself). With the holiday pricing Vanns is selling them for I think they are trying to get more of the product into people's households. Doing that hopefully will spread word that they are actually well built and are a quality speaker line. Since the discount i know for a fact that quite a few people over at AVS have purchased full setups of them (myself included). That said i think it will be very hard to sell these at MSRP since the RC series is still being sold out there. As we all know they're pretty much the same product with some tweaking and a different finish. Considering price most people would take the RC's especially with how the economy is.

As i've said before the rosenut finish is stunning. For me that was worth the difference at the discounted prices. My speakers look like high end pieces of furniture instead of just big speakers sitting in the living room.

Just my opinion

That's totally cool i was referring on the cray prices on the Veritas line. BTW Congrats on the new surrounds.

I saw some killer deals on the CF-30 CB-20 and CC-10 at FS this week.

Get 2 CF-30 for 249$ each and get the SW-C8 for free. 199 for the CB-20 and 229 for the C-C10.

Yes, congrats on that find slimmer. I was looking at the CB line when I was speaker hunting here a while back, probably a couple of years ago now. Man how time fly's.

Anyway, I've been very happy with the RC line and wish to complete it by changing out my surrounds sometime next year. My little Infinity's sound great after the purchase of the Integra. I had never heard sound coming through those little speakers like that before. However, I would like to complete my Energy setup and I'm starting to think of some options. Hopefully the RC line will not totally disappear before I'm ready.

The 2 options I'm considering are as follows:
1. 2 RC-LCR's to replace the fronts and move my RC-10's to surround duty.
2. 2 more RC-10's for surrounds.

The recent low prices at Vanns on the RC-10's have been very tempting to jump on them, however I'm saving up for that sub upgrade in the in the next few weeks.

it might not be a bad idea to jump on the last of the energy speakers while they are there.... otherwise you might be buying them used.... Then get the sub at the end of next year.... Just a thought.

Hsu subs aren't going anywhere.

That's something to contemplate Steve. I was considering that this past week until last night. On the way home from work last night I picked up Cloverfield and watched it for the first time. I heard that the sound, and LFE in particular, was very good in this movie. I was very impressed with the sound of this movie, and LFE was outstanding. However my Yamaha was distorting pretty bad in some scenes, so I feel the need to get that upgraded next. My patience is starting to wear pretty thin.

Depending on the amount of money I get for Christmas I may end up with both the speakers and sub. My dad usually gives me a nice monetary gift for Christmas so that just may cover both.

I agree with Callas that you may want to get the RC speakers you want before they disappear. You'll always be able to get a quality sub and avr. It would be a shame if you get all your gear you want then can't complete it with the speakers you wanted.

Lets hope you can have both Mike, will you settle for a second set of RC-10s or you will try to get 2 more LCRs?

I have to say 3 LCR would be awesome. It's unbeliveable how much better your system has become and you have come a long way.

Hey Olivier, I was thinking last night, if for some reason I miss out on the RC line completely, I could always get a pair of Veritas V mini's to use for my surrounds couldn't I? I got a feeling I'll end up with RC-10's all around, but if that doesn't work out I'm sure a pair of Veritas would work. What's your thoughts on that guys?

Yea, I did see that as well slimmer, which gives me another option. In fact the more I think about it the more I think I need something a bit smaller than the RC-10. My HT room is rather small and I plan on mounting them to the wall so I need something a little smaller that the RC-10 I think.

Hi all. I suppose I can now be part of this group. Now that I own the Energy Classic 5.1 set. Well I really can't have them til Christmas. But they are staring me from there box. But anyway I was looking at a set of CB-5's($99/pair right now) to complete the 7.1 setup. I live in an apartment and I really think these little speakers are going to make me happy. But I suppose the question is. Will the CB-5's blend with the other 5 speakers? Thanks. And I own the Pioneer VSX-1021-k for the power.

I totally agree. Go for the three RC-LCR's up front. You'll love it!

Yea blu, ever since I saw your setup when i first came to this site I have been aspiring to reach that pinnacle of a 3 LCR front sound stage. However, i may have to settle for a couple of RC-10s or V Minie's for surrounds, unless I find an unbelievable sale somewhere on a couple of LCR's.

Did you happen to buy the CR-10 less than 30 days ago at FS, bring your invoice in that case they will reinburse you the price diff.

Unlike Steve, I would say if you were to get the V-mini, might as well get soem 5.1 bookshelves if you get them at the same price as the V-Mini.

Seriously that is a steal Mike 199$ each and they are an upgrade over the RC-10

BTW, this is High Gloss Black Finish.
