If I bought an item ending with $x.97 does that mean it is a final sale (since it is on clearance) or can I return it if I want to?

if it's not on your receipt, return it. -- what did you get at BB that ended in .97?

It was from Future Shop. It's the Harry Potter steelbook shelve. It was $9.97. I bought it because I was planning on getting all the steelbooks but now I have zero interest in paying $200 to get all the steelbooks.

Yeah I will try. Only reason I asked was because I know Toys R Us is final sale on clearance items (items ending in $x.91) and was thinking other stores may have similar policies.

I could probably make more money selling it to someone here now that you mentioned it.

Best Buy is selling The Office: Season 7 for $19.99

http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/...a7ffa20f41en02

Wanted to get it at Future Shop for the price adjustment, but none have this in my area so just got it at BB. Still a great deal though.

Here's a question....

I order House Season 7 Bluray for Delivery from BB, as its not in stock in store. I bring receipt/confirmation to FS.. Would they price match it, or tell me tough titties you already bought it elsewhere, which I presume is what they would do.

The STAR WARS films are amazing. I am a fan and I don't think anyone's ever seen them this clear before -- even originally in the theatre in 1977.

You can see make-up on all of the actors and seeing Darth Vader on that ship (Blockade Runner?) at the beginning is like looking through a glass window.

Definitely worth upgrading to. I only watch the BD versions, and the DVDs of the unedited trilogy.
Is that true? If we can do that and get the credit back for the DVDs we gave in then we can use that credit on any bluray ( or anything else) in the store!

That would be real good as I have been trading in plenty and am not impressed with the selection this time out. Especially since BB was sold out on Mission Impossibles and I was lucky to find the first one in another section of the store.

Contemplating getting Predator but still not sure the UHE wouldn't be better, its one of my favorite movies and I want the best possible copy. Also ticked it has no special features like the UHE.

You cannot return opened media and get your money back, you can only exchange it for the same item (otherwise people would be using the store for free rentals)

Also, you will not get credited for the DVDs. Once you trade them in, they're gone.

Finally, the original MPEG-2 release is definitely the one to get in terms of PQ for the film itself. The UHE does win in terms of extras however.

I was never talking about returning an open item. I also thought once you've traded them in they were lost forever but the other guy said we could get a credit which is what got me thinking.

As for Predator I think I will buy the one they have for trade in for $4.99, considering the price difference and the great debate which most people choose the old version anyway it makes most sense.

Sorry, I didn't realize that you hadn't opened the movies yet. Should be no problem returning them.

I'm still doubtful about being credited for the DVD... most likely YMMV

No prob, I haven't bought the movies as yet either, just saying if they do return your money and give you a $5 credit for the DVD it would mean you are not limited to the movies they have on the trade and save promo. Again, that is an if because I don't know that they do that but that is what the poster above said.

Also, wondering what YMMV means? Read it a couple times in the forum but can't figure its meaning out.

YMMV means Your Milage May Vary. It means it may work for some, but not everyone.

I originally posted that you may get credit for a traded-in DVD because I read a post on the Future Shop forum saying that a traded-in game may be credited back if you return the item unopened.

A DVD may be slightly different, so YMMV. However, they may just give you the $5 coupon towards another trade-and-save (FS actually has physical coupons) to prevent scammers from doing what you described.

Using the $5 Universal 100 coupon in Click magazine, I picked up the following for $5.64 each:

The Breakfast Club
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Field Of Dreams

Also saw Babe and 8 Mile available for that price if you used the coupon.

Picked up To Kill A Mockingbird Digibook for $21.99 plus taxes after pricematch with Best Buy.

My store has no coupons left!!

Some jerk also walked into my FS and bought EVERY SINGLE COPY of John Carter (Steelbook)

what a complete screw job for the rest of the customers. its pretty sad that the staff dont know their own policy of buying these exclusives is LIMIT 1 PER CUSTOMER
