oops
forgot about the T3 stated death
but of course, that could have changed since the future has changed, and now connor sends the t-850 back himself, it all depends on how they want to do it

if they keep him dying, yea make what i said as the ending of the 6th the ending of the 5th movie

How forgiving will fans be if the future is changed?

Also if the last movie finishes with Connor sending back Reese, then which movie comes first? Which do you watch first if you want to watch a marathon?

There is a HUGE gap between the end of this movie and when Conner sends Reese to protect his mother. Oh yeah...you can bet there will be another movie.

The arnold scene was by far my favorite, I was so pumped when they showed that. I too hope the sequels have an army of him. The effects looked great on it.

Well, I'm glad they changed it then as I liked the ending way better than what that sounds, that ending would have been just plain wrong and terrible. I don't want a fake John Connor!
By the way, I really enjoyed the movie.

In thinking about it, the problem with switching Marcus and John would have been too much of a stretch. While a heart transplant in the conditions they were in is pretty far fetched, they would've had to put John's brain into Marcus as well. That would've had a lot of people checking out IMO.

If they would've had Marcus pretend he was John Connor, with just the skin change, and Marcus standing-in for John I also think a big part of the audience would've checked out on that as well.

It would've really added depth to the story in the coming sequels to be sure. Maybe too much so for J6P (but again it all depends on how it's presented). We still don't know where they are going to take this for sure. With me, McG has earned the benefit of the doubt.

If they would have stuck with the original ending I would definately have been turned off and it would have ruined the film for me. As is now though, I will be buying the blu-ray.

was the song connor played when he baited the terminator "bike" the same one he was playing when they rode off on the dirtbike near the beginning of T2?

If you were to watch a marathon I think the right way to watch it would be as the characters experienced it, aka the order of the movies. Even though it does loop back. I'd say the same thing about the rebooted Star Trek as well.

My question is are we requiring that time fulfill itself here? Does Connor have to send back Reese? Does Connor have to die? What happened to there's no future but what we make? The wonkiness of Time Travel says that now that they've arrived in the future that can be that, they don't necessarily have to fulfill their own history. It depends how you want to treat the Time Travel I guess, has McG made a statement about that anywhere?

He's saying Time travel will be addressed if there's a sequel. He hinted that Connor may go back in time himself in one of the sequels to try and prepare the military for Judgment day, but I think he was just going on when he said that.

I'm not a fan of McG's idea of having John Connor die and then his wife/children take over as leaders of the Resistance. The only scenario with him dying that I'd be cool with is if his dying act WINS the war.

Here's a video interview you can check out where McG discusses the action shots and his preference of not editing (doing one continuous shot) in those action sequences. Also the deleted scenes that will be on the blu-ray and what he thinks about the way the fans regard him.

He talks about the copter scene at the beginning of Conner emerging from the hole all the way to seeing the nuclear blast and battling the Terminator as one continuous shot with no edits. The same with the scene of Bloodgood and Worthington escaping through the minefield all the way until they switch jackets.

He says a lot of the deleted scenes are scenes of Bale invoking the memory of Sarah Connor telling people of her and speeches he gives. Also that of Reese burying Write at the end of the film (as an alternate ending) and more.

The video is about 11 minutes long. You can click here to head over and check it out.

He seems very layed back and accessible unlike a lot of other directors.
I really admire the action sequences without edits. It's been my long standing opinion that it's a major cop out to do the quick edits to make something look more intense. He really has grown from Charlies Angels (I really enjoyed We Are Marshall).

I'm very interested to see the deleted scenes.
