And...what is the average that you guys have paid in shipping for your imports?

I appreciate your help.

I only have three imports. Neverending Story(which I hope the US version will be a better copy) and two from the UK-Son Of Rambow and Paranoid Park. Only problems is these have their extra features in ther standard PAL format which means they don't play on my player but since I don't watch the extras all that much I can deal with it. Neverending Story came sans bonus features. But both UK features sport an awesome picture and was well worth the price of each which was only about $30.

Default Question about shipping...please help.

Soooo how much did you guys pay for shipping...specifically those who bought from Amazon imports. Was there an extra charge outside of the normal internation shipping charge?

I need this info so I can purchase a title through Amazon Canada.

Just go through the steps of purchasing a movie and just before you click submit it tells you the charge for shipping.

Ok great thanks Bill. I was scared that there was an extra charge once it arrives at the post office.

That is news to me. It was my impression that Son Of Rambow BD did not play on American players at all, including the movie. What player do you have?

The only time Americans will get hit with customs fees is if you order more than a certain amount in one package. I do not know the exact amount, but the declared value is pretty high for stuff like dvds and BDs, around $500 to $800.

The Fountain is one of my favorite films and the UK version has DTS-HD Master audio. Also gotta love the cult classic Highlander also DTS-HD Master 2.0 or 5.1.

I found a French Release (by M6 Video) of Michael Clayton for $4.99 at a used movie store. The PQ blows the American release out of the water. It also includes English audio at DTS-HD MA 5.1 with no forced subtitles and is region free. Just made it to the top tier of my imported BD list.

The Quick and the Dead UK release has more than the US edit. Any Sharon Stone fan will want the UK version.

As far as price, The Bourne Collection and Band of Brothers are cheaper through Amazon.co.uk than from the US site.

Shipping charges included, I got BoB delivered to my house for $31.xx

The Blade Trilogy from Canada is pretty good. No extras but it was $40 shipped to Texas.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Highlander-Blu-ray-Sean-Connery/dp/B002GDM2UA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1269129894&sr=1-2
If you are willing to buy from a third party seller on Amazon UK, you can get Highlander (without the steelbook, in a normal BD case) for about $19 shipped to the U.S.

I would recommend people check out Flame and Citron, a region-free UK import of a Danish movie.
