yup and due to his unpredictable nature he left. On the other hand he was also the first pseudo villain http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgur...a%3DX%26um%3D1

I wouldn't mind maybe seeing Stark and Banner working to control the Hulk and having him be a pseudo villain for the first part of the movie then have him join to help against a greater threat.
either that or like they did in ultimate alliance, Hulk helps them defeat the bad guy but then he is so out of control that the others try and stop him

More news is bleeding out. Not sure if I believe some of the stuff in this report as I doubt Marvel Studios is planning 3 or more films a year:

Quote:
Lots of stories regarding Marvel Studios current plans are circulating. Earlier this week, BleedingCool told you that Marvel’s John Turitzin had stated plans for another Marvel Studios movie in 2012 to accompany The Avengers. But is that all?

It seems that according to Marvel Studios, the long term goal is to make three or four movies per year. That’s on top of any Spider-Man, Wolverine, X-Men, Deadpool or Fantastic Four films from the mainstream studios. Expect them to delve deep into their catalogue for sci-fi, horror, fantasy and the like. Is a Street Poet Ray or Yuppies In Love movie entirely off the cards?

Expect to see the Thor movie set in the present day, not the glorious Valhalla past, and you won’t see Donald Blake. Though you will see Hulk in Avengers.

Marvel believe need an international star for the lead role in Captain America, to appeal to an international market. And yes, when asked, Marvel see Will Smith as one of those potential stars…
The Will Smith thing was talked about in the OP saying that it wasn't the storyline to start Cap with (debunking the Will Smith thing)

A movie with Norton and Downey together would be unbelievable--2 of the 3 best actors around right now IMO (Depp being the other).

Depp would be interesting as Dr Strange, but he may be too young

I don't want to see Will Smith in ANY marvel superhero movie - problem for me is - he is Will Smith in EVERY role he plays (with VERY few exceptions - Pursuit of Happiness, perhaps). He could never "disappear" into the role for me.

Same thing with Sam Jackson.

i doubt the 3-4 films a year plus their other properties
i would think 2 at the most, maybe 3 in years without spiderman/x-men/fantastic four

The movie company seems to be going by current (ie. Ultimate) canon, where Bruce Banner is the team All-Other-Science genius (with Tony handling the tech stuff), but that he has certain, um, liabilities to the team...

And Norton could certainly handle the former, just so long as they don't let the latter turn the movie into a clone of the Lionsgate animateds.

I'd have to disagree there.

Smaller studios pump out a great deal more than that, and they could easily pull off 3-4.

Film one for 3 months, and as that one goes to post, start filming the next one, wash-rinse-repeat.

If you have 2-3 good crews put together for all of their movies they'd be able to pull this off easily.

oh yes, no doubt they could pull it off, i was referring to the profit margin for each film if they were to have that many in one year.

Unless they weren't all summer movies, then it wouldn't really be a problem for them to fit 3 or 4 in one year if none of their other properties were being released by fox/sony during that timespan. One early in the year, one to start of summer, one to close it out, and one to finish of the calendar year.

But if it would be the same year as another studio putting out one or more of their other properties, along with DC movies that will be getting made (supposedly ) it would become a crowded year and hurt the take of each movie that is released in too close a proximity of another.

I also think it would over saturate the market with comic book movies, some people would grow tired of it quickly.

I read that everyone involved with Incredible Hulk was so upset that Ed Norton tinkered with the cut of the film ad nauseum that if Hulk was in the Avengers, David Banner wouldnt be. That being said, Norton did a great job so maybe theyre looking at the big picture now.

That's an exaggeration of what had been reported and I'm happy to report that the original reporting was also an exaggeration. It was all debunked by both Leterrier and Norton.
